As we know, Florida is rough for leases - high doc/dealer fees and a lot of game playing. Most dealers flat out refuse to provide numbers over text or email, always refuse and just beg for me to come in to the dealer. Even the ones I flat out tell I wont be in until a quote is received refuse to do so.
Can I get some recommendations on particular dealers/salesman that are good to deal with down here? I am looking for a truck and am cross-shopping the F150 and Ram 1500. I’m in Fort Lauderdale but don’t mind going to Naples or up the East Coast a little bit for a transparent deal. Thanks.
From my experience shopping for a lease in Dade/Broward county, I have never received a quote or any sort of number over email, I always had to visit the dealership. I don’t mind visiting the dealership as I enjoy the act of car shopping unlike others I guess lol.
Try to come to the dealership with a quote you received from a broker/other dealership and work from there. I tried that with a few volume dealers and I was able to get a 0.7-1% deal (0 down only fees/MSD)
@h0ss66 The nonsense doesn’t stop until you’re outside of the dade/broward/palm beach.
I don’t have a recommendation for you for those brands but i’ve had good luck in central FL.
Try calling Brandon Ford in Tampa, they are apparently the largest dealer by volume. I’d ask for a sales manager and explain you’re in SoFlo, had a friend who got a great deal there and want to see what they can do for you. Other than that the Ford dealerships down here will make it tough. I think you’d have more success in North Miami or Broward. If you call and speak to sales manager just explain that you want to buy but your slammed at work so want to have the deal done so you can just walk in and sign the paperwork. Salesmen will want you to come in but the managers are more likely to make a deal.
Andrew Sheehan at sheehan GMC is also a broker with a lot of connection, you can try him. Phil Smith chevy was the BEST price by far when I shopped a 2017 lease equinox (even know they owe me a birddog i never received). Pompano Ford is also a good Ford dealer but you have to go in person for best price.
Hit or miss with autonation. They were good with my Dodge Charger a few years back, gave me everything online. Staff changeover and its a different story now, can’t get anything out of them.
Crazy. Their all full of shit here in Sofl. I bought at Wayne Akers here in lake worth, but I had a close the month deal. Phil Smith I was able to get down to leasehackr worthy but I think they are only Chevy
I wouldn’t imagine everything a total loss, it’s looking like rates will drop for January. So maybe end of this month you might be able to get a good deal. Just keep plugging away at dealers.
Funny thing about the dealers in South Florida, is that if you request to be contacted through email and not show up in the dealership, they would rather ignore your emails than give you any kind of number.
This is so true. What kind of training/management is behind all of this, and why do all of the dealers act the same way? Is there that much foot traffic that they don’t need to worry about internet buyers?
