I wasn’t looking to sell my vehicle until a coworker mentioned that he was selling his ( similar model) he was on a lease and my vehicle is financed had it for about 4 years and barely hit 40K miles so I shopped around to get quotes and it was just stupid not sell the car , truthfully i was getting bored of it anyways I did quotes with CarMax/Carvana and Vroom. Vroom was the highest by $1200 I started the paperwork everything was super smooth. They scheduled a pick up I was contacted by a driver that he was in the area and can possibly pick up I said sure , never showed up apparently had some problems, called vroom to get an update after 2-3 days have passed I was contacted again by another driver this time letting me know the exact time of his arrival. The car was picked up 2 days ago and I just received a notification via email that the payment/check has been sent to the finance company and my portion is heading to my bank account ( it arrived already)
So overall pretty smooth and super easy ( assuming no surprises I hope).
Car make was 18 Camry SE btw
in their last email they mentioned that I should notify the state dmv of the vehicle sale ( notice of transfer and release of liability ) is that necessary? I’ve already transferred my tag to a new vehicle and have it registered under my name - I reside in Florida if that makes a difference, would love some advice on this
