Sold one to VROOM!

Seeking advice on Vroom experience:
My 2017 Mazda CX-5 lease is up with 6k miles left out of 36 month. Vroom offered $2,000 above Mazda/Chase payoff letter. Starting the process w/Vroom will take time + additional 1 monthly lease payment. My plan is to lease a new (not Mazda) before Jan.1 2021.

Does the sale process (paper work, plates etc) is easy w/Vroom or Other online dealers?
How about disposition fee, wear and tear for the current lease?
Would like to hear any feedback before signing up the contract. Thanks in advance!

Update:
I lost 3 weeks in spite of calling Vroom every day.
Called them yesterday. They said they closed the account becouse i did not send back DocuSign which they emailed to me twice . When I said that i have not received any email like that they told me that nothing can done and I asked to start the process from scratch, so i did it again. Quote went down $250 but this is still fine for me. Let see what will happen at this time

Please read this thread from the beginning. All answers are here.
Figure 2 to 3 weeks for entire process.

You don’t have to wear about wear and tear or dispo fee. Whole process can take up to one month. They are not as efficient as Carvana IMO. Be prepared for multiple calls and emails for follow up.

To follow up on wear and tear. Obviously you put in the condition of the car to get an appraisal but they don’t charge you on top of that.

Does anyone know how a lease extension affect Vroom quote in general? Let’s say you extend your lease by a month a two, should I expect vroom buyout to just go down by that payment amount? Thanks

Does anyone have experience with BMWFS dealer payoff? Is it the same as customer payoff without tax?

Hi so when you said day 13 after sending all documents, did you mean the pictures of ID registration and mileage, as you never received the docusign emaik???

VROOM offer was way above Carmax (2k more) but Carmax can close same day and after reading this thread I am not sure if VROOM is actually 100% a done deal, I do not mind waiting for 2-3 weeks for the whole process (even though I will need to pay an extra month as the payoff will go down as well) so I will be just losing the “rent” of that month), but my concern is that they take 3 weeks and then I need to go to carmax again and their offer will be less.
Also I am traveling for the holidays, if the whole process takes 3 weeks I will be here but if it takes less somebody else will need to deliver the car to the truck, is this something I can change if needed???

Yes, after submitting all those documents

I sent the ownership paperwork to Vroom on 12/5. Just got the paperwork today 12/21. So 16 days now.

how long did Hyundai take to apply the payoff to your account? Did you receive confirmation from Hyundai of the payment?

Wow. It is an express at this time. 4 hours from the time they received new dealer payoff I got an email with DocuSign. Now waiting for FedEx package and pick up

Let’s see-

11/14: Hyundai received check from Vroom

11/16: Hyundai processed the payment on my account (they emailed to notify me)

11/24: Letter dated 11/24 sent to me by Hyundai noting that the lease has been “satisfied in full”.

Hyundai also owed me money because a payment was processed during the sale as well- this was received by me on 12/15.

Thank you sir. I noticed that the Hyundai payoff address on the purchase & sale contract was missing the street address. Notified vroom but no response. Fedex was delivered this morning. Will wait and see if they process it by tomorrow.

The saga continues. No payment posted. Called Hyundai and they claim to have not received payment. Called vroom and Fedex showed delivered to Chicago yesterday morning. Now the finger pointing begins.

was your situation resolved? What was the outcome?

Keep in mind the payment is most likely sitting in AR waiting to be processed on the same week that a good number of employees are off. Add in the whole Covid thing and it may take a few days. Have a little patience!

Thanks. Will wait for a few days. Vroom said they can issue a stop payment and send out another check.

I am in the same situation with Vroom and Ally Auto on my Alfa Romeo sale. Fedex tracking says it was delivered yesterday morning. Today, Ally said they dont have the check. My concern is my term runs out at the end of the month and Ally will start charging late fees (and of course Vroom wont cover that!)

I just checked and it showed payment posted yesterday. Subtotal of payment history is incorrect. No email notification. Now will wait two plus weeks for the overpayment check
