Sold one to VROOM!

Anybody used Vroom in the last week or so? Have a good offer, just want to hear any other good/bad experiences

I have
Take it
They come thru

I thought vroom doesn’t buy out leases anymore, are they back?

Thanks!

Trading in a car that isn’t under lease so I’m hoping it will be even quicker.

What was the turn around time from when you first inquired?

3 days total
Picked up car
Had the check in 2 days no problem

Great to know. Thanks again!

For those that tracked their car to Manheim, is there a way to manually check that it is there?

did you have to email them for the Fedex tracking number or did they send it to your email automatically?

Automatic

Thank you!! I really appreciate it

I’m assuming it’s FedEx overnight?

It might of been 2 day I don’t remember but it was quick

In the process of selling to vroom (financed palisade, not leased), all paperwork complete and just waiting for pickup info!

Dealership offered $34k and couldn’t match car max ($38k) or vroom ($39.5k)

Payoff is slightly higher than vroom’s offer so I paid the diff.

Will report back if anything gets tripped up but hopeful for a smooth pickup and be done with it

Got a good offer from vroom. Accepted. Eventually got a better offer from Algo.

I later got an email from vroom saying they don’t buy leases.

Luckily sold my 4XE with Algo on a better offer. 44236 vs 44500

Selling a financed car to Vroom. I accepted their offer 3 days ago, still haven’t received the docusign. How long does this part normally take?

6/19 edit: they finally reached out after 4 days to tell me that they couldn’t get a payoff from my credit union. Well, no kidding, you didn’t start my file until Sunday of a holiday weekend. Will get a payoff tomorrow when the bank opens.

6/20: they received my payoff and I had contracts to docusign and an e-notary link. E-Notary took less than 1 minute on video.

6/21: Pickup by a Vroom employee in a Vroom branded flatbed.

6/23: Direct Deposit Received

6/26: Loan Payoff Received, Loan Paid off.

Ours took 2 days but this was two years ago. 4 days after that was the pick up scheduling email.

Sold a 2021 Tacoma SR 4cyl double cab with 31K miles to Vroom - owned not leased. They paid $29.6 which was $1K over Carvana and CarMax. Very seamless process. I completed the online information and they had me do a quick Zoom call with a Notary. They emailed a FedEx label which I used to send them the title. Three days later a shipper reached out via text and coordinated the pickup at my office -the driver went over the car for about 10 minutes and confirmed it was good - check received via FedEx the day after pickup. Overall a very nice process and the second car I’ve sold to them.

Congrats on the sale. btw those 4Runner wheels on your Taco :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

i halted my vroom process because i heard stories of people having their offers adjusted after vroom picked up the car and before check was issued

i dont see anyone in this thread mentioning this difference from the carmax/carvana workflow. is it perhaps more rare than i thought?

I was really worried about this, too, particularly in situations where one either excepts the offer late in the 7 day period or where a delay (eg in getting payoff quote) causes lag in getting paperwork to sign. It was especially true because Vroom was my highest offer by thousands.

I didn’t experience anything like that and I fit both criteria. I was honest about condition and driver signed off.

thank you so much for the quick response – today’s offer is literally $5,000 less than it was five months ago and i’m kicking myself, but it’s still better than the others, and i dont want to regret it even more if it keeps going down, so going for it! thanks again
