Sold one to VROOM!

Vroom got it for me as well as a close friend at a store

They matched so we rolled it

When in process do you learn the market based payoff of ALLY?
Vroom increased their offer by $1.5K. They told me on the phone they get the payoff from ALLY that is same as mine. nothing written though.
They want me to sign papers, it doesn’t say anything about pay off amount, it just states the total amount? Can I trust them?

I am afraid they would pick up my car and pay ALLY much more than I expected. Is this possible? Do you know exact payoff before they pick up your car? Any help is appreciated.

@Bostoncarconcierge

Accept the offer

Then they’ll get the payoff

If you’re unhappy with it, don’t sign the docs

I accepted my offer Friday night, how long does it usually take to hear something back?

I accepted, they sent me documents to sign. It does not state anything about lease pay off.
It just states the total purchase price.

Interestingly they ask me to sign title which I don’t have of course.
Wondering did they mixed up it as a regular purchase vs. a lease purchase?

I dunno

I don’t work for Vroom

Anything I say is pure speculation

Look for a payoff on your e docs and if you don’t see it call document support

The amount Vroom owed to the bank is on the last page of the DocuSign bundle.

this may be off topic but when you put in your vehicle info into Vroom or carvanna, and they ask about appearance, do scratches and small scuffs matter? i know when you turn in a lease, they give you some leeway with scratches that aren’t huge, can Vroom turn down the haul away if there are more scratches than they thought?

Thanks for the help. I think I will have to contact them my docusign did not have that page.

@Bostoncarconcierge

Just “accepted” their offer of $39,363 for my '19 Ram 1500 in NJ. My buyout with Ally is $34k so a decent chunk of change to be made for doing next to nothing, we’ll see what their payoff comes in at. We’ll see how it goes…

Update:

I accepted their offer of $25,096 on Friday but never got the edocs to sign. So today I went in with a different email address and got a new appraisal and it went up to $25,266 and got the edocs to sign right away and just got a confirmation with a FedEx tracking number for the papers they’re sending me.

Did vroom get their payoff from ally? I wouldn’t be surprised if you had negative equity with the 3rd party buyout but curious to see.

Potential to be a lot less exciting.

Good luck

I also got a quote for my 2020 Tesla 3 Standard Plus from Carvana-$37,501

I’m currently leasing a 2017 Lexus RX with four remaining payments that’s way under the allotted mileage. Payoff is $32,387 and Carvana is offering $36,299. Typically is the payoff transaction between LFS (or other banks) and Carvana a smooth one?
