Just sold my 2015 Leaf to Carvana this week. Their offer was $2200 more than VROOM.
Hi,
Yes, the Uber offer is there. My drop off was scheduled for May. 27th. Earliest pickup last evening was Jun. 4th. I checked early this morning, and there was 1 slot available for tomorrow (26th) for pickup. Took that one. After that spot, the next available is Jun. 6th.
Thanks,
GHTech
Texting with Carvana, they sent me a link to upload another document. Upon clicking it, they reduced my offer by more than $4K! This is a nightmare.
Just got an email from Carvana:
"After reviewing your documents, we have observed that the odometer reading that was entered in your appraisal is more than 1000 miles different from the odometer reading photo that was submitted. We have re-run the appraisal with the correct odometer reading, and while reflecting the current market value, giving you an updated value of [$4K less than the original offer]
They inputted my odometer incorrectly.
Login from another computer or web browser, making sure you are not signed into your account and rerun another appraisal with your current mileage see what you get. If it turns out higher, log in and save the appraisal.
They thankfully corrected this almost instantly when I wrote about the error and uploaded it as a document. Much faster communication than texting or calling.
Ok great to hear that it all worked out and now is on track to getting approved. Next steps are to pick your payment and schedule pickup.
So you emailed them and they corrected it instantly?
First post here. Very familiar with leasing and thanks to edmunds been winning on deals since 2008. Today’s market however is just nuts.
Saw some saying equity peak was over in March, but I think (at least some vehicles) are climbing again.
2018 cx5 gt - carvana offer was $24.5k a week ago. Realized I guesstimated the mileage 3k too low at 25k mi. Submitted for new offer today with 28k mi and the offer is now $25.7k - yes it’s up 1200$ in a week with 3k addl miles! Fun fact - in Feb the offer was $20k with even less miles. Lease ends this month, buyout is $19k before tax.
2017 s3 carvana offer was $31.9k a week ago. Resubmitted today and now $32.7k. Fun fact - in Feb the offer was $29k with less mileage. Lease buyout completed in Jan for $27k after tax.
We really need 2 cars, and trying to time when to sell/buy is pretty confusing. If I sell high now, I’ll end up buying (leasing) too high. If I wait 6 months for inventory to (hopefully) improve my equity will likely dive.
Probably will extend the cx5 lease for now, Chase says additional payments (minus tax) will reduce the payoff accordingly. Never knew this, its my 1st lease extension!
Sold a 2017 Subaru Impreza to Carvana for $18.5k yesterday. Very easy process.
Has been 50-ish days i have sold my BMW X1 (picked up and signed documents) to Carvana, still not uploaded for sale on the website, keep checking the vehicle carfax and reports and it said 3 weeks ago the title went to Carvana.
Anyone else experiencing this? I just wanna see what they price my old car at!
It took about a month for my car to hit their website. Some of their vehicles ends up being sold through different channels like Manheim.
Is there a website that can track where a vehicle goes if Carvana doesn’t list it on their site?
Just google the vin. If it ended up at another dealer or auction you might find that listing.
Can you sell to Carvana if you are within a month of the termination date? Or should I just extend for 6 months and then try. Subaru/Chase. The offer I have right now is $3K over so it seems like it is worth it, but DMV/tag expires at end of the month as well.
Carvana will not buy out a lease within 60 days of termination
Thanks for this information. I will work on getting the lease extended.
I have a car lease ends in 2 weeks. Payoff is 27k+tax, which is over 29k. Carvana offers 30k. Seems it’s not worth to pay off the car and sell to Carvana? Any suggestions?
As posted above, Carvana will NOT buy leases that are under 60 days of termination. Better off having the dealer buy it from you.
Sold my dad’s Cadillac XTS thru Carvana, easiest selling process I have ever seen and done! Different dealers wanted to give us 2-3k less than what Carvana offered us.
Thanks! Just curious, if it is not within 60 days, I can transfer the lease to Carvana at 27 K. Do I need to pay the tax?
