I’ve never heard of anyone actually getting a higher dealer pay off with bmw. My guess is that they include the language in there so they can change their policy at will. I’m surprised they haven’t yet.
How far out can you schedule for Carvana to come pick up your car once you’ve submitted the documents? Can you cancel if they haven’t picked up the car yet? I’m still semi on the fence but my offer which is pretty good is expiring in a couple of days. (When I resubmit via another web browser its 1-2k lower)
I would keep checking this up until the car goes away. I’ve seen swings of 2-3k over a few days. Seems to go up and down quite a bit.
Anyone know how long it takes for Carvana to post your sold car? I sold mine to Carava 4/8 and bank closed the loan 4/18 and I keep refreshing to see where my car is
I imagine they want to wait for the title and such to show up. If the bank just closed the account, that probably hasn’t happened yet.
interesting, I felt like wouldn’t they still post the car and delivery it with temp tags till the title comes in?
They may not want to until the entire transaction completes in case there are any complications. I’m only guessing though.
I think I’ve locked in the highest offer. It was about 2k higher than what I usually saw. Not sure if they can go any higher.
Isn’t if we keep checking the pricing it may automatically update and you’re stuck with it? How many miles can we drive the car from the mileage we put down?
Log out and then check again. If it’s higher, log in to save.
Thanks! Do you typically put in the vin or license number when you check again without signing in?
I put the vin in every time
I have seen as quick as two weeks. You can search for your VIN and even set up an email alert when the Vin shows up.
Although took more than 2 weeks, Carvana finally accepted all the documents requested and agreed to purchase my leased Land Rover. Scheduled to pickup my car a week from now.
The Carvana agent came today, signed all the paperwork, and handed me a check. He said a tow truck would come to take the car in a few hours. No one came though. Anyone know how long it generally takes? My car isnt in the greatest spot and i cant exactly move it since it doesnt have plates anymore.
This is New York area btw
They told me the same when they bought mine and ended up showing up at 11pm that night.
Phew. I was getting worried. Hopefully they show up in the next 12 mins LOL
@mllcb42 How did you know he was coming at 11PM? LOL
He just came now, 11 PM on the dot!
Pretty straight forward process. Checked all the major players. Carvana was higher at $3800 positive equity (including $1500 in deferred payments that were due at lease return). 2017 Land Rover Evoque, just under 20k miles. Offer accepted last sunday, took 4 days for everything to be approved. Car picked up tonight.
Other than not being able to get anyone on the phone, it was a good experience.
Just sold my car this morning. Process is just as easy as the forums are saying. I inputted the details about a month ago when I place my order for my new car. Just to get a feeler. I was surprised how much they were offering! I was getting those monthly car fax appraisals and I was basing my expectations on that. It wasn’t bad but got the Carvana quote, I couldn’t believe the difference. As the forums say to keep reappraising and only save the higher amounts, that worked. So last Tuesday 4/13 submitted and accepted the offer since the dealership of my new car contacted me and gave me a delivery date. Documents and photos were uploaded and got acceptance within an hour. No loan payoff or lease payoff. Carvana was able to schedule me in as soon as that Friday. Too soon since new car wouldn’t be delivered until today 4/20. I took a gamble and scheduled for new car delivery from dealership and Carvana pick up for same day. Gamble paid off. Carvana emailed me in the morning because I had put the wrong telephone number. It was scheduled to be picked up at 1130am. They showed up at 10am. Tow truck came, driver processed everything, ipad took pictures, and released the electronic funds for the agreed amount, which I updated less than 24 hours which jumped by $400!
I did get a quote from vroom, but not was not instant. They emailed me the next day and was 1k lower. Car max was lower and I wasn’t willing to drive to CT and uber back into the city.
This all took place in the Bronx if anyone is interested.
Even if they didn’t show up, it’s not your car anymore.
