Not sure where to post this, but I’m floored at the current deals being ADVERTISED on Jags in SoCal. I honestly wish I waited before getting my XF a few months ago. There’s a dealership in LA currently advertising a $60k XF Prestige for roughly $1200 total drive off, including first months, and $359/mo plus tax. Even crazier, they are advertising a $94k F-Type S AWD for $4995 total drive off, including first, and $549/mo plus tax. And those are advertised prices, so there’s still a little wiggle room. I bet you can get the XF to $0 drive off and the F-type to $3k drive off. I know they are 7500 mi/yr leases, but still… Are Jags just not selling? Desperate times, I guess…
Which dealer? 20 chars
Hornburg on Sunset. 20 chars
trying to talk myself into an F-Type…
This is only one dealer offering these ridiculous specials. They aren’t honest, get another dealer to beat the advertised deal, my .02
They will. 2 months ago I took Hornburg’s advertised price to Rusnak and they matched it and then beat it. I’m just saying if you use this as a place to start, there are ridiculous deals to be had…
What expierence has led you to conclude Hornburg is shady? Rusnak doesn’t look to have much ftype inventory at all…
Problem with Hornburg is when you email their 5 dealerships, individually from their respective websites, the inquiries go to the same place, so you cant negotiate against each other
I had a great experience at Mission Viejo, which is part of Hornburg, but I emailed the internet sales guy directly after clicking “meet the tream”
The only “shady” thing Hornburg did with me was tell me they couldn’t match Rusnak. He said he ran it all the way up to the “general manager” and it was a no go. He called me back 3 hours later, as I was driving off the lot of Rusnak, and said “Good news! He said we’ve got a deal!” Not that big of a deal, but the color I REALLY wanted was at Hornburg. Other than that, they didn’t bait and switch the advertised price, and they negotiated a bit down from it. Seemed pretty above board.
Nice advertised deals on the XF.
Nothing on xe
Thanks guys for the feedback. Looking at getting one of the s coupe awd’s they are adverting for 5k drive off, 33m, 549 per m, 92.5 msrp. Not sure yet what the discount is on it. On the surface, what do you guys think of this deal and where would you look to improve it in the negotiations?
Hard to say where the room is without seeing the full breakdown, but I’d work on the upfront $5k. If you can get this deal with $3k drive off, I’d take it in a heartbeat. Even as is, if you fold the $5k in to your monthly, you’re looking at an effective $675/mo plus tax on a $94k car…
Would be really nice if it’s 3k drive off, 550 after tax, 12k/33.
Well, sure. And totally free would be even better than that!
Great advice. I’ll be talking with them Tuesday and will post details as I get them. On a preliminary call with their central hq, they are more than willing (so they say now at least) to providing this deal and shipping to Washington state and would follow that they would to other states as well.
Please keep us posted! Would love to know if it works out!
Just spoke to a sales rep - he said they could not do this deal out of state. It is financed through chase and then when I asked is someone local could do it (a relative) that of course was not a problem. But they also said the lease is non transferable for the life of the lease. Does not seem right. Any thoughts or contacts if someone who might know otherwise?
Oh - I was looking at the xf 35t for 0 down and $379. Did not get a chance to negotiate it any further due to inability to sell it to me.
Very true on non-transferable. That is a Chase thing. Surprised that you can’t lease out of state, though. Seems weird. But for a loaded XF Prestige for $0 out the door, $359/mo, might be worth a $200 flight here to pick it up.
Interesting, they are still working with me even though it’s clear I am in Washington state. Maybe they are expecting me t fly down and take possession but they told me they can ship it. Talking with the sales guy in the morning, expecting some issues to come up on being out of state. I’ll post back after the conversation. Could be chase limits the states?
