Let’s see if we can get some momentum to keep this thread going this time.
Ski doo offering some blowout pricing on 2026 models right now. Talking with a dealer on a new MXZ Adrenaline 600R 137 MSRP $14K they are down to $10K OTD including delivery. Planning to finance with my credit union at 6.49% for 60 months. No blue book value on a 2026 but the 2025 still has a wholesale value of $11K.
My other option is a demo 2024 Polaris 650 Indy Adventure 137 with 3541 miles. Asking $9K OTD picked up for this used machine. The Polaris 7S display is really a game changer, but I’ve never owned a Polaris. Setup with a 2up seat, because it was probably a rental, I would take that off.
Did you try any Florida dealers ?
Anyways kool machine man. Looks amazing. Wish I can try one if I get the chance while visiting some snowy destination in future !
Looking at ur numbers shared did you get the 2026 ?
Haven’t pulled the trigger yet on another machine. I’ve become obsessed with the Skidoo Renegade Enduro, basically has every option, but haven’t found one yet for a price I can digest.
Meanwhile I lost my shirt yesterday thanks to MSFT so my hobby budget maybe frozen.
Skidoo makes a good sled, in general. They’re light, reliable, not terribly expensive, comfortable, good fuel economy (not sure why some view that as important..it’s a toy for 99% lol). My biggest gripe is probably that I’ve never loved the aesthetic. They’ve always reminded me of a ski patrol or something LOL. Just very “meh” design imo. I’d never buy Polaris anything. Period.
If I ever get back into snowmobiling..this would certainly be a consideration.
It is easier to just outrun the avalanche so Yamaha FTW for sure.
When it has come to sport bikes, big touring bikes and dirt bikes, snow throwers, generators, small engines, sleds, pianos/keys, lawnmowers and the Taurus SHO engine it has been hard to beat Honda and Yamaha in so many categories over the years.
Since Yamaha discontinued sled production prices for sidewinders has been out of control. Some are asking 2x MSRP for a new or lower mileage example. While the drivetrain is sublime, they are overweight and they lack modern displays and connectivity options. Once you use the Polaris 7S or Skidoo 10.25" integrated display, it’s really hard to time warp back onto a Yamaha.
That said, I’ll be primarying my 2006 Yamaha Attak 137 tomorrow with the Skidoo MXZ 600 etec in backup.
Agreed, it would be difficult to find a real clean unit and call it a “hack”. Also agree that Yamahas are tanks..everyone knows they are on the heavy compared to the competition. It’s a sacrifice Id make.
Idk I’m getting a bit burnt out of every manufacturer having to cram huge screens into everything, often times more than one. For toys I would really almost prefer the basics. Like my sport bike, it has no real screens..doesn’t even have tc or abs lol. Raw.
