Has anyone recently leased a Silverado EV RST or Hummer EV 3X in Massachusetts? MOR-EV has a $15,000 rebate on these vehicles because they’re considered Class 3 versus the $7,500 rebate on the Rivian R1S / R1T. And because they’re Class 3, there max vehicle sale price is $2M (vs $80K for Class 2).
The downside is that Class 3 vehicles must be on a 4-year lease rather than a 3-year lease. So on a 48 month lease, the $15,000 rebate subtracts $312 per month.
Only the 3x with the 24 mod battery is class 3. Took me a few weeks to get GM to add it to the eligible vehicle list. The RST is cheaper than the class 3 Hummer on the 48 month lease from my research but I have not checked the numbers for September. Keep in mind if you don’t keep the truck for the 48 months you have to pay back the rebate and you have to submit data to the program also.
