Ms. DD drove an i5 m60i some time back and didn’t want (and we didn’t need) another SUV. She was soon coming off lease and kept mentioning the m60i and was stalking a deal with a specific build with really zero input from me up front. There are better ride options and deals out there, but I’m down with the car, no matter what she’s going to do what she’s going to do within reason, and I am fine with all of it.
Had her check out any “Signed” deals, what brokers were getting nationwide for the 2026 models and to keep in mind that most deals listed are 7.5k miles per year (she needed/wanted 15k). Advised her to skip the 21" wheels, watch out for garbage adds, weigh the package options/prices, and be mindful of the MSDs return vs. some upcoming opportunity costs. She searched for her spec (Brooklyn Grey, no red seats, DAPP and no 21" wheels), she found it, worked the numbers and came up with an offer that would never fly to start on the car she wanted with the options she wanted. Landed @ 12% off with me only coming in at the end.
I believe she did fine on a ride that does not lease well in general with only the lease cash and 1st responder/military/ID.me being available with no corp/fleet/loyalty available to her. Drove it today and it was nutty fast in a straight line, has a nice ride, is comfortable and full of usable tech. BMW did well with this car and it checks many boxes overall.
