suggested price from a few car sites are 10-12% off MSRP new, and given it being a loaner - many having closer to 10k miles due to short supply from the pandemic - i dont see why 20% isn’t attainable.
production is getting better for all car makes so they should be very willing to move them with replacements on order/delivery
20% off a loaner is not as easy as it used to be. I spent many hours and emailed many dealers to get past 20% on a loaner 5 series. I think the E class even tougher
I thought the fleet discount didn’t apply to loaners.
I was guessing that the dealer either applied fleet when they shouldn’t have or they just wanted to get rid of the car and just took another 3k off themselves.
I think @Calvin.MB is confirming fleet doesn’t apply to loaners?
I think the 2k lease cash cannot be combined with the 3k fleet is what he’s saying.
MB does allow fleet on loaners, I believe it was that the dealer would chop up the incentive where portion was already applied to the vehicles discount or something along those lines - and when submitting paperwork thru finance, they still applied full incentive causing the dealer dilemma (internally)
If he can set it straight - please do.
In the end I think the fleet plus ~15% off isn’t bad at all, and if you can pull the 20% as many are hoping
Let me share some useful information which can help others to find a good deal:
my car was found on sonicvipservices.com website. Before contacting the dealership it was listed in the website already with %20 discount. Plus minimum money factor, fleet rebate & MSD made this deal unbeatable. It’s hard to find a good car / spec-ed loaner with good MSRP discount and good fleet rebate. Money factor is negotiable with dealership if it’s too high.
I believe fleet incentive it’s not something you can negotiate. It depends on the company you’re working for and the fleet Mercedes has for your company for that particular model/year, it goes per model per year. Yes, I guess if MB wants to get rid of the car they will give higher fleet rebate on that car.
Never easy, but if I remember correctly, I’ve seen a few broker ads where mid level luxury sedans were over 20% off. Think during the last month of lease support? Don’t think I saw any this year though
My sale agent found this car on this website. He sent me the car spec with MSRP price then I was able to calculate the discount. My agent is based in LA, but was able to deliver the car from NoCal to LA with no cost for me.
I think they marked as used/certified with about ~2-5K miles. I’m not sure what is maximum mileage MB allowed to lease the cars, I guess it’s around 5-7K.
Interesting Spec, no pano roof or 19’ wheels but adaptive cruise and air suspension? Probably the best spec for comfort driving! Great deal, a couple months ago I looked at a very similar MSRP '20 Loaner E350 and they were at $700/mth. Good to see some dealers are more realistic!
