Couldn’t find anyone in Texas to discount the SEL much, they are not doing a lot of volume here and some dealerships don’t have any. Found one place to discount it 2% , then the $10000 cash from Hyundai, best part of deal was they covered taxes, and in Texas that helps a ton.
Other perks free charging for 2yrs at EA chargers, and luckily the closest level 3 to me is EA at the target we shop at, if I do survey I get free tint and $100 gift card, and best of all, next time I come in for service is get a…. Free tank of gas.
Seems like a mediocre deal, last month it was closer to 170-250/month without down payment.
Hyundai has an offer on their website which is 189/month with 2k down (83/month), and with Texas taxes 3k (125 month) comes out to 397/month.
It would be best if you can get dealerships to apply tax credit to cover the taxes. Sometimes you can negotiate the 6.25 down to 2 percent if dealership is willing to play ball.
Leasehacker score of 10 years, is an okay deal. It’s just not great.
For the SEL, the offer is 289/month with 2k down (83/month) which comes out to 372. Paying $0 taxes is great, since Texas requires you to pay it on leases. Which dealership was this, and what did you ask to remove the taxes? Did they have tax credit to use?
By the way, nice car. The back end of the vehicle makes it looks like a Porsche 911 lookalike.
The LH score has never been a good indicator as to if something is a good deal or not. 10 is a fantastic deal on some cars and a horrible deal on others.
Yeah not worried about it, I agree it wasn’t my best deal, but dudes in Texas just weren’t playing ball. I was amazed by the amount of dealers that just flat wouldn’t even call me back after I expressed interest. Anyway kiddo is happy with it and it’s a fun drive. We could use a good broker in Texas for Hyundai.
