Shopped around at a few dealers, managed to find a couple willing to take 2500 off MSRP. Note that I live in PA and we get mauled by 9% taxes on leased cars, most folks I think could do a bit better than this.
Basically went around offering 7% off MSRP, got a couple willing to do ~4% or so. Brokers on here I think I’ve seen advertising 5% off ish, so this seems a reasonable ballpark.
If you’ve got the guts you can probably wait until September 29th if you’re looking to hit a home run on one of these.
I could have gotten an Elite for 399 or a Touring for 350. But aside from color (the Teal one looks very cool) the extra features don’t move the needle for me.
Dang man, I think you could’ve gotten a much better deal at Heritage Bel Air or Westminster! I’m in PA but leased from Westminster and got a Touring for $246 with $290 down. I did have a conquest rebate but they were giving 8+% off and that was middle of July
Interesting. So, when I worked up my number in Leasehackr it aligned pretty much with what the dealer had. But does Leasehackr know how to handle PA tax if it is given a PA area code? I had just put 9% in the ‘tax’ field.
You need to enter the 9% manually and put the incentives in the untaxed incentive section. Some direct to dealer incentives will go there automatically when using ratefindr but you have to bring down the others from taxed to untaxed.
This is basically what I have. 9 dollars off my actual payment but this is basically what I calculated. If I move my taxable incentives to nontaxable it goes down like 40 bucks a month
I think there should only be 20k if I’m not mistaken: $3500 total in dealer cash and $16500 in customer facing rebates. Your calc is also missing $356.50 in fees. In any case, no one will no for sure how they handled tax unless you upload your contract (personal details blacked out).
I suspect they either incorrectly taxed some portion of the rebates, or perhaps they handled taxes correctly and adjusted the sales price on the contract accordingly to match the payment.
Okay I can see that they DID charge me the correct tax of $25. Though it’s odd that on the dealer quote in my original post they had the tax at 72, and yet the monthly payment equated to the same number either way.
Also, just noticing this now - What’s the difference in section A at the bottom between the number in parenthesis (45702) and the number that starts that chain of arithmetic (47687). Why wouldn’t they be the same number?
Can you paste the second page please? What was MSRP? Your previous calc shows an MSRP of $52,500. This should have a RV of $26,775 (51%), but contract shows slightly less.
Edit: I now see the 8 min odometer on contract, so not a loaner.
