Signed: BMW M4 Comp MT $79k MSRP $699 pm $1300 DAS

,

its Lemans Blue which is not a listed available color on bmw we so. Does anyone know what the deal is with these custom colours? There isn’t a charge on the window sticker either.

Not a unicorn deal but 1 percent better than the brokers seem to get. Didn’t want a CS because I wanted manual transmission and arm rests and door handles and such.

This is a nice dashboard of most individual colors on F8x https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=953954

BMW decided for the final run of M3 and M4 to offer free individual colors that used to cost 5500.I had one of the Laguna Seca Blue M3 which really looked good
congratulations

Thanks for the info. That makes the car a bit cooler even:).

After looking at those colours though now I think I’ll need to private lease transfer this and find a better one in British racing green:)

It’s a great deal. Congrats. Individual color and MT, doesn’t get much better than that.

That blue is stunning!

Hopefully there’s still deals like this next March when my lease is up.

Thanks!

It’s hard to say with the deals. I wasn’t sure if I should wait another month or not. If the economy gets bad enough I think we might see some paradoxical price increases due to inefficiencies. Essentially if you’re a dealership or a manufacturer only selling a third as many cars they will need to be more expensive. On the other hand maybe they just keep lowering prices. Who knows.

Dealers are takings baths on used cars (majority of inventory is over 60 days old and used values have tanked during that time). Not so much on new. Production was cut almost in its entirety for April. And sales targets to dealers were cut 80%. These numbers don’t support fire sales on new BMW’s.

That spec is really hard to find. Waiting will not get you a lower lease cost, it will make you have to find an alternate vehicle. I have a similar M3 2018. That’s less than I pay for mine and I’m an employee! Well… I do have $13k in port installed options but still! At the time of my lease inception, it was an 85% DCT/15% MT split. Haven’t checked on the current M4 transmission situation but I can’t imagine it being too different.

Congrats, post some more pics and the window sticker. Did you do MSDs?

No msd.

Any tips how you found/negotiated this? Well done

Sent you PM

Great deal, congrats

I think its great considering the current incentives. The more aggressive incentives were cloesr to $5,750 but that likely won’t happen until closer to the end of summer.

the last production year, BMW tends to go off with a bang on freebie or small fee individual paint colors.

As far as tips go, besides for the intricacies of a lease which are well discussed on here…

  1. don’t negotiate
  2. don’t get a quote - you give them your quote via email which you simply write as - x% off msrp before all incentives, buy rate MF and no dealer add ons. Don’t negotiate. If you have an agreement then you ask for the quote sheet emailed to you with the agreed upon numbers and go in and lease it based on that deal that was emailed to you.
  3. aside from a test drive, do not go to or spend time in a dealership unless you already have a deal via email. Before you go and test drive, call, set up a time and make sure the car is waiting for you ready to drive.
  4. if you’re going to do this a lot - which I do - preferably use one or two dealerships that know you are not F’ng around. So essentially the only decision they have to make is do they want to sell the car to you or not. They know you are buying it from someone at your requested price.
  5. don’t ask for obscene ridiculous numbers. I usually use the brokers discounts as guidelines and aim for a few percent higher.
  6. most discussions i have regarding pricing are directly between me and the sales managers. The salesperson is for test driving and generalized questions about the car.
  7. if you don’t want to spend the time, use a broker
  8. make sure your wife/girlfriend/significant other does not get annoyed with your car addiction. I have to give my wife $1000 every time I get a new car. Technically that brings up my effective lease cost but there’s no room for that in the calculator.

I’ve had several people write me and say “dealer x quoted me X per month“ wanting to know my dealership. You should not be getting quotes at all. If you know what you want the car for, assuming it’s reasonable, a quote is useless and only serves to put the situation to their advantage.

Any thoughts from anyone else?

This is awesome advice! Thank you, seriously! When you say you aim a few percent higher than brokers - is that usually just try for a little more off the MSRP?

Put it in to the post-sale rebate spot as a negative value.

Otherwise, your post is absolutely spot on.

Correct. Look at the brokers spreadsheets and see what discount off msrp they are getting for a particular model and aim a few percent higher. Most bmws were 11 percent off this month so I was aiming for 13. On mine I got 12. If I didn’t care about having an MT I probably could have found 13-13.5 somewhere but then need to deal with driving 5 hours to get it and pissing off my wife. See my last point

So with the bmw cca rebate my wife’s payment becomes effectively 500.

Speaking of which, does anyone know the answer to this question: bmwcca says you can only do one rebate per year. Is that based on purchase date or application date. I leased a car in December and one now. I haven’t applied for the December rebate yet. so can I still send in the rebate application for both? Or is one of them lost.
