I’d love to know your guys thoughts on this one. No broker, just me negotiating.

Biggest win to me was I had a 2020 Grand Cherokee with 155k miles on it, with $16,900 owed. I was $7k under water and I got them to pay it off, while still getting the $8500 rebate and another $1500 bonus rebate.

Did they add the negative equity to the deal? Also, though I can’t see the contract, how was the residual 48%? The 15,000 mile residual is 50%. I wonder if this will fund…

No point in asking after the fact. Enjoy the car.

At least from my experience with Porsche, it is possible for a contracted residual to be written lower than the percentage it should be at, and still get funded.

The easy solution to this is that they didn’t actually get .00070 rate but .00110 with the proper 50% residual.

Oh I’m sure. I’m just curious to see what’s going on there though.

They did not. See attached

What’s the MSRP? The signed page says $65,604, which isn’t possible.

Eh, my first time leasing and I leaned on what I saw on here heavily. Just wanted to gather opinions.

I do love the car though. First BMW… Might be a lifer

Had a feeling I screwed up that calc. $62,440

So they took your negative equity, whatever it may have been, and paid it off, but they sold you the car over MSRP (but with base MF):

There wasn’t any extra $1,500 rebate, FYI. There’s no such thing, either.

Thoughts overall? Decent deal?

Consider that you buried about $270 a month in negative equity you didn’t do too terribly. Could you have done marginally better? Sure.

But it’s over and done with now and in three years you start fresh and armed with knowledge or at least a good broker on your side.

Who doesn’t love throwing a Grand Cherokee in the trunk of an i4? :cowboy_hat_face:

Wondering you plan to put the same mileage on the lease as you did on the Jeep? Hoping not

Sadly, looks like it may have been a good bit over as leasehackr is showing around 420 a month on some of these so you may end up paying more than the 7K underwater you were over the course of this lease if not more. But if in your price range and your happy - that’s counts!
