Signed Acura ZDX Loaner $175 /24 mo (AZ)

2024 Acura ZDX RWD A-Spec Loaner

One-Pay 24/10 - $4200 ($175 /mo) includes TTLR

Originally, I made offers to the local AZ dealers for a 24/12 one-pay of $7200 via email (I’m happy to share if anyone is interested). Each dealer countered with something between $10-12K. I was resigned on traveling to NV or SoCal to get the deal I knew existed. While widening search, the closest local dealer reached out and said he could beat my deal on a loaner with 5k miles. He sent me back a deal for $4200 out the door, equal to $175 per month.

Frankly, I’m still unsure of how they got this done because it doesn’t show any of the traditional incentives. With that said, I verified this was a loaner being used by the Manager prior. At the end of the day, I don’t care what kind of magic they had to pull to make it happen. Despite having 5k miles, they still included the option of free home charger and install or $750 EV-Go credit.

At the end of the day, $66k MSRP for $175 /mo and I’m happy as a clam.

Daaaaaaaamn! Nice work man! Best one yet from what I can tell.

Edit: Looks like they treated all incentives as dealer discount, except for $4,000 that they used as CCR. Certainly helps with the taxes! As opposed to these “no broker fee” ZDX deals that tax ALL of the incentives including the dealer cash in the calculators. So strange that some brokers work for free :smirk:

Wow, comes down to insurance being more money than the car payment. Congrats

Can be strange to you, but beneficial for others. Lets be happy and thankful that some dont charge for certain brands.

The sarcasm in my comment was aimed at the fee being baked into incorrect taxation. And quite the fee it is with the incorrect taxation.

I don’t even want to discuss insurance. That will make my blood boil. I may post a separate issue in off-topic forum

For anyone interested in the email sent to the dealers, here is exactly what was sent:

Subject: Lease Offer on 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec Models

Dear [GM’s Name],

I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out because we (my wife and I) are going to lease a 2024 ZDX (all details below) as soon as possible. Ideally, we will lease from Acura of [Whatever] by the end of day. We live in [Your City] and have not visited your location or dealt with any of your salespeople (in-person or virtually). My spouse and I are familiar with the Acura ZDX and do not require a test drive or additional assistance in evaluating the vehicle. We are experienced lessees and understand that we are proposing a thin-margin deal. With that said, we know that the offer is doable based on market research and firsthand knowledge of several leases that have taken place this month with near identical terms.

In return, you can expect a low-maintenance transaction that doesn’t waste your team’s time or resources. Once we agree on terms, we will immediately provide you with all of our details for you to pull credit and verify identity. Once we’ve had a chance to review the final paperwork via email, we will come to the dealership and finalize the transaction that same day.

Credit scores are 740+. Income is $100K+ with low DTI (under 20%). Below, you’ll find the details of our offer including info on specific vehicles, incentives, and lease calculations. You’ve got [number of vehicles that meet your criteria] identical vehicles in inventory that meet our criteria. See below:

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Welcome to EV ownership

I damn near had a heart attack when I got mine. I really had no idea just how much more they are to cover than a comparable IC car.

I traded in an EV and yes, insurance rates are stupid. I’m having a completely different issue which I can only describe as discrimination or “victim” gouging.

This is how unicorns are birthed?

You’re much more verbose than I am. My emails are basically this:

Hi,

*I’m interested in car XYZ you have on your website with MSRP $60K. I will lease it for 24 months and 10K miles per year with the following terms. Dealer discount of $10K. Manufacturer Leasing Company currently has $2500 lease cash along with $1000 incentive for Costco members. This month residual is 62% and money factor is 0.0003 Acquisition fee is $595 and I will pay no more than $200 doc fee. DMV fees in my county is an estimated $285 and sales tax is 6.25%. With those inputs the payment will will be $X/mo with $Y due at signing.

*If you can make this deal happen, please let me know, I am ready to sign and drive.

Thank you.

Hmmm, birthed or hatched?

I’ve been accused of over-explaining more than once. My guess is that it works in my favor about as much as it works against me.

The reason I give them all the detail is to ensure that when the dealer inevitably pushes back and claims that I’ve got incorrect information that I’m then able to ask which of my specific details is incorrect.

At the end of the day, I think the objective for all of us is to let the dealer know that we are informed, serious, and unemotional.

How much is the fee in the “no broker fee” really

Yeah insurance is saying it’s a 70k car, first year of a car and already discontinued.

This car is BADD to insure

Taxation is based on registering state, no? I’m sure if you were in a state that didn’t tax rebates, the broker and dealer could adjust?
