Taking delivery on a 25 Sorento Hybrid. Had a deal set up with AutoNinjas and figured I would shop locally just to compare and save on the broker fee plus shipping. Deal with them was $465 with $465 OOP plus broker and shipping but that didn’t include getting out of our current Wrangler 4xe ($1195 payoff and dispo).
Locally I was able to make the dealers compete and my final numbers are $400 with $400 DAS, this includes rolling in our Jeep buyout. 12.5% dealer discount plus $3840 in rebates. The calculator below shows everything from our contract (our Jeep buyout is added under dealer fee).
Overall very happy with the deal! Sales rep asked me not to share as they won’t replicate and it was their last Hybrid in stock.

Congrats - that is a really good deal. I’ve really liked my 4xe but parking it outside all winter due to the recall has not been fun. I’ll be getting back into an suv when mine is up in a few months.
Thanks for sharing this information. It’s much appreciated. I’m in the process of leasing a 2025 Sorento Hybrid Prestige and an am looking for the best deal. So, when you say that the dealer discount was 12.5%, that was before accounting for the rebate, right? Your post does clearly state that. But I just want to confirm before ever expecting to snag that type of pre-incentive discount. Trying to get to the nitty gritty on how much dealers are willing to discount in order to move these units. I have my eye on several that have been on dealer lots for 200+ days.
last week i sent an offer with 8.5% discount included, guy said i think we can beat that, so i asked for 10%, next person replied back saying that discount was ludicrous lol. fyi, NJ dealer
said thanks and will try other dealers.
I’ve already gotten one dealer to 7.9% off MSRP, not accounting for incentives or their $799 doc fee. But this wasn’t even difficult. So I may well be able to get a dealer to discount by 12.5% or more before incentives and doc fees. I’m considering a Prestige and that may have a higher profit margin, making it easier to get a better discount. Anyways, we shall see.
Any update on what you went with? Looking for a Sorento Hybrid EX or Prestige, but doesn’t seem many can go past 6-7% off MSRP before discounts.
I ended up leasing a Hornet. But I think the market is soft enough at the moment for you to be able to get a dealer discount of at least 10% if you shop around. Dealers generally offer better discounts on higher trims. Best of luck in your search. If you’d like a dealer recommendation, I had a great experience with Paramount Kia of Hickory. Very straightforward and to the point with absolutely no runaround. Their OTD pricing was the lowest that I received while shopping. But you may well find another dealer that will discount more aggressively than them.
I am looking for a phev Sorento and can’t find anyone over 8% off. must be two different stories since you are looking for hybrid.
That would be different. But I would still think you could land at least a 10% discount on the PHEV as well. Purchase or lease for you?
Lease. not as many PHEV versions out there. even the big brokers on LH aren’t more than 8%. not sure what other dealer would do 10%.
I think you’ve got it right. Just checked stock on CarGuru after my last comment and yes, the stock is very limited. So, yeah, 8% is probably about as good as you will be able to do. My bad on the incorrect response that I previously posted.
