Bought from MD dealer, live in VA.
Encountered 2 dealers who would not talk numbers unless I physically came in and another dealer who would only point me to their website prices. They said that those were upfront prices (which were not competitive), that they were not negotiable and that it would be unethical (?!!) to do so.![]()
Asked one dealer if he could do a 7.3% discount and he said “Under no circumstances!” Got two other dealers down to 6.5% discount. The car with the color/options I wanted sold before I could try to negotiate a further discount and they didn’t have any other ones I liked. Found another car with the color/options I liked at a different dealer and they agreed to a 7% discount.
