Big thanks to @Jimzigg for help on my search. Had to expand outside of my immediate metropolitan area to find a dealer willing to play ball and encountered a few scummy dealers not even willing to acknowledge the backend rebate.
Tried to get the calculator to line up as best I could. 36/10k + 14.5% off front end + $15,000 in incentives + Texas tax credits made this possible.
Also, big thanks to the whole community. Would not be scoring these deals if it weren’t for all the helpful members here and getting access to data through ratefindr. Can’t believe I’ve been doing this since 2019.
Honda just dropped the price by $7500 on April 1st to offset the Federal rebate loss, so assuming that 1/2 of the rebate stays intact for April (either the $5k+3k conquest or the $8k backend) and if they keep the very low MF, it should be replicable for April. Will have to wait and see.
It’s the same car as the Blazer EV or Lyric (if you want fancy) so I would just pick the best deal across those 3.
Wait for the April programs, if they’re similar, see which dealers will give you a similar front-end discount + base (unmarked up) MF and they should be able to replicate. As inventory thins out, it’s going to be tougher to get solid front-end discounts though.
I can confirm they have 5k captive cash for lease and 2k for conquest with 0.00074 MF with the new MSRP. The 8k + 2k rebate is also available, but with a much higher MF.
I was negotiating with a dealer and unable to get them to to go lower than 7k off the new MSRP and 7k incentives. Ended up at 360/month (includes 9% tax) with 1k down. They told me that was 2k below the new invoice.
Even though the lower MSRP is offset by the higher residual, it still looks like it’s going to be a challenge to hit March’s numbers with the additional $8k.
