These cars just started hitting lots in Texas last week. If you are in the market for a 3-row luxury SUV and are okay with an EV, the Vistiq is worth a look. I think these deals will only get better.

Well played!

Nice work. You got 10% off MSRP for such a new vehicle. I am hoping I can do like 12% off a 2024 Lyriq soon.

You can find some deals on 24 Lyriq loaners. That was our original plan but decided to go with the Vistiq to get the 3rd row since they released that sooner than originally anticipated.

I did have a dealer offer me $599/mo on a 36/10 lease for a black 24 Lyriq loaner. The issue is that it had over 6000 miles on it which was quite a bit more than we were wanting.

That’s a great conquest rebate. Supplier could add another $1k to that. This will be hard to match in states without the tax credit benefit. Even with that discount you’ll probably be looking at $900 - $1k for the same discount elsewhere.

This didn’t qualify for the EV rebate because of the MSRP correct? Any tips on how you secured the 8k off MSRP?

GM financial increases their residual values for EVs to compensate for the $7500 EV credit. The $80k limit does not apply to leased vehicles.

Since this was a brand new model, I came into this deal prepared to pay list price which would had been right over $1000/mo. I got a bit lucky on the discount in that I had a couple of local dealerships who had the exact color combination and configuration that I was looking for fight for my business by lowering the price several different times over a 24 hour period. I filled out the credit app with both of them, so they knew I was serious.

This is why it is important to cross shop multiple dealers. It helps give us consumer’s a bit of leverage.

Find a dealer that’s in an area that won’t buy EVs yet has one, they’ll want to dump it if it sits long enough if they’re rational.

Test drove one today and was very impressed. Unfortunate about the $7,500, as I was ready to pull the trigger.
