Sorry to burst your bubble (it’s not a bad deal), but it’s actually $2,000 for loyalty, and $1,000 is buried in the discount. $1,000 of loyalty is dealership contribution, but the contract must show the full rebate or the dealership gets a chargeback.

Everyone gets 2k loyalty or only for those with M cars?

A dealership quoted me with 10k incentives (7500, 2k loyalty, 500 military) . I have i5 m60

It’s still dealer discount just under a different guise. It’s still objectively a good deal and no reason to rain on the parade.

Dealer contribution = discount.

This topic has been overly discussed. By not showing it properly, people without Loyalty or Corporate fleet are disproportionately affected as they get $1000 less “dealer contribution - discount” than others.

This. It’s much more transparent when quoting to show what is discount vs what BMW is paying in rebates.

It makes no sense why someone who has loyalty would get an extra $1k off a car vs someone who doesn’t.

So an extra 1k dealer contribution for M variant in house?

It’s just a contribution requirement to get FS to fund their half of the rebate.

A dealer could sell for $1,000 total dealer discount and still satisfy the rebate.

I choose to make it in addition to discount, unless it’s a dealership which adds it back. I don’t need anyone complaining or giving a bad survey because the discount is less, even though the numbers match overall.

People with loyalty get more off, just like they would with any additional loyalty incentive.

Doesn’t moving that $1,000 dealer loyalty contribution from the incentive line to dealer discount lineavoid the upfront tax on it? In this case, 7%? $70 bucks is $70 bucks!

On the contract it has to show as a rebate, but for the sake of understanding what money comes from where, it’s easier to split them up the other way.
