First ever lease and first ever new car. Been on the forums here and edmunds since Oct 25 getting familiar with the process.
Before taking the car on a test drive it only had 5 miles on it, came back with 12. It had been sitting on the lot for roughly 60 days.
MSRP of $35,295. Was able to talk OTD numbers prior to revealing the fact that I was active military ($750) and a recent graduate ($500) which helped with additional rebate on top of the $2000 incentive they had from OEM manufacture.
Dealer was advertising a promotion of $349/mo with first mo due at signing. I had to pay $4000 DAS which included my first monthly. Dealer was saying that it has to do with the taxes and fees although I was under the impression initially that it would only be the first mo payment as advertised. The breakdown comes down to $1495 in accessories ($1000 Vehicle Guard and $495 Theft Protection) ; $2,293 for State Taxes and Fees ; $1,255 Other fees ($805 Lease Aqu, $225 Doc Fee, $175 License Fee, $13 Title Fee, $20 Road and Bridge, $17 Govt Fee). They also mentioned that GAP was built into the lease and I couldn’t negotiate it out? I heard it was better to avoid paying anything so I probably could’ve done better in that sense.
I wanted to have the bumper to bumper as well as the tire/wheel warranty due to the area I live having some really rough roads. Acura offers this package for $40/mo and to me it was worth the peace of mind.
My total monthly came out to $389 which I thought was pretty decent for a 2026 model sedan.
Just to give y’all any idea of where I’m coming from, I’ve owned and have been driving a 2008 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport (my first vehicle since 2015 now with almost 300k miles). It is a salvage title/copart find and my dad paid 10k for it so I can’t really compare it to this new integra (mainly for the wife).
Not sure if this is that great of a deal compared to what I’m seeing out there but given my circumstance, I’m happy with it so far. May consider purchasing the car in the long run if the numbers work out.
Let me know your thoughts especially if you have more experience leasing. Have a good day!
Recently got it tinted 70% windshield, 30% Front, 15% Rear, 30% Rear Windshield, pictures below…
