Called 10 Volvo dealerships on Saturday 11/30. Asked for 10% off MSRP with $12k incentives. Only one dealership was willing to accommodate me. They marked up the money factor a bit, but it is the exact color and trim that I was looking for. The car also came with some other options that were acceptable to me. Very happy. Not the $500/mo effective that I was hoping for, but I also didn’t want to spend too much time on this.

I forgot to add. I made a mistake with the down payment. Volvo has a sign and drive promotion. If I capitalized all my payments, then the first payment (the one I would not pay) would be a few hundred higher. At that point, perhaps would be wise to also consider MSDs. Oh well
You now have the car you want, with the trim and color you wanted all included all at a monthly that works for you and it is a good deal overall.

I would say you should be as specific as possible. If you do not, they will take any other incentives for themselves. Its okay to let them win a bit too to make the numbers work on their end, but you probably just want to be up front with them and not waste anyone’s time.

they are usually all mentioned on the manufacturer websites, albeit sometimes different wording to it. some are for purchases only, some are lease only, etc. no reason for them not to tell you when asking as well, esp if its just about loyalty, conquest, ev rebates, etc.
