This was my first over-the-phone lease (three weeks ago ~11/9) and was very easy to work with the folks at Mercedes Benz of North Scottsdale (from Santa Monica). Both the acquisition ($1095) and money factor (0.00179) were marked up versus the Edmunds “public” figures of $795 and 0.00139, but I wasn’t going to argue too much seeing as the car was starting at a 23% discount. They did start with $1900 of window tinting vs. other “protection” on top of the advertised price, but quickly removed it seeing as the tint hadn’t yet been performed, as I was eager in a quick deal.
I had visited Santa Monica Mercedes (where I test drove a similar demo vehicle), but after a not so productive chat about numbers afterwards, I expanded my search to those that had the Executive Package. I also reached out to one of the brokers on the LHr forums, but their deals weren’t as strong as this and did not include complimentary maintenance. I also wasn’t eligible for conquest or loyalty so a demo made the most sense.
