Monthly payment is $323; DAS was 1st month + $2,925 in MSDs. Broker fee $699, and there’s a $4,500 rebate from CT I can get after purchase which brings it down to $218.
FYI it seems most Lexus dealers are unaware of the rebate, since it only applies to EVs with factory MSRPs under $50k, and only the base RZs qualify (the MSRP is without destination, so I believe most base RZs should work).
Really happy with this car. I’ve had a VW id.4 leased for the past couple years (for which I paid a lot more: $460/mo or so, 24/7500), and this feels so much better. I test drove in this search the Equinox, Ioniq 5/6, Ariya, ZDX, EQB, and this was easily the most comfy for me + generally the most premium feeling. Wouldn’t mind a bit more range, obviously, but this works for our needs. Can’t understand why the ZDX and EQB would have $15-20k higher MSRP.
Only requires 24 I think. I wanted to go for 36 months for personal reasons and uncertainty around future EV landscape – could’ve gotten an even lower monthly cost at 27 for sure.
Also worth noting that it’s only $4,500 if you either have lower income or live in certain jurisdictions. Otherwise it’s $1,500. But quite a few towns/cities qualify for the higher level.
Indeed! No regrets about going through a broker. On Friday when I test drove it, the dealer’s offer was $622/month + $3k down. Obviously they had some room to negotiate. But when I said I wanted to get down to at minimum $450/mo effective cost (before the CT rebate), they basically laughed me out of the showroom.
Such a nice vehicle for the monthly payment and I am glad we got it done on the last day of the month. The logistics aligned very well also on this. The rebate of $ 4500 definitely did help. Plus the CT taxes were less due to the fact that this vehicle is under 50k MSRP. So CT only charged 6.35 % vs the 7.75 % if it went over the 50k mark. All the stars aligned on this one for sure. Enjoy in good health and don’t forget to use the Lexus Rental Days.
Was that dealership Crabtree? I was just there asking about the RZ lease and he told me there no was he can get the deal that low and to go with whoever was offering the lower deal. The sale guy mention someone just came in a couple days before me asking for 450 and was turned down.
As a slight update here, I’ll note that I appear to have fucked up the tax rebate portion – i misread things and it turns out that on a new car it has to be applied by the dealer at point of sale. So, still a great deal, just less of a screamingly good one.
