I have been looking for an additional car since the beginning of the year and have struggled to find a deal I considered unbeatable (e.g., I found another Hummer for $9,000, but I was not excited about it) and with good specs (e.g., the light blue Prologue for $75/month).I kept checking the GMC website daily and found a dealer with a very low price on a Hummer. I called, and it was not clickbait. Based on their listed price (and my calculations), the correct number was $5,500, and their first offer was $9,000. I offered $6,500, and they accepted (maybe there was a little bit more room here, but I am super happy with this value).
This is a gray 800-mile 2X pickup with my favorite interior color (Lunar Shadow). I will add photos once it arrives home. I have never had a car that enormous, so there is a good chance that I try to pass this lease in 6 months (also I think it is fun to hunt for nice deals).
I do not know how they reached this value (I will post the contract later and you can help me to understand it) or how it was approved (negative depreciation; I am still concerned they might cancel it), but the documents were signed two days ago, and the vehicle is being picked up tomorrow morning by a transportation company. This is my best attempt at the calculator:
ps: I have been trying to get an unicorn deal on an IX/I7 since last September and called all dealers with 2025 models, but apparently, they don’t like me
That’s amazing. Dream deal. So the dealer had it listed on their site for $85K marked down from $110K, and they basically just applied that discount to the lease?
Hacking the lease I feel like is more about timing. Finding the right dealer at the right time they need to hit a sale or move a model ASAP and you are there. Even if there was room left, you are happy - they sold a car. Win/maybe win. LOL Enjoy!
For all the noobs who want to replicate this deal, OP took 4 months to find this deal. He must’ve searched 50+ dealers until 1 dealer said yes to these #s. Lease hacking is possible but it takes time, patience, the right timing, sometime with a little luck. But this is a great deal!
amazing deal - congratulations. where can I locate residuals and MF for SUV? and is 22-23% off MSRP target on demos or is that adjusted in the calculator to have #s make sense?
I have a question. Did you have any push-back when adding supplier after discounted selling price? I’m having issues with dealer telling me if he adds supplier ($1700), they would have to at 18k back to the selling price.
