After a few months of searching for a killer deal (and hours of reaching out to dealers), I happened upon our new car the day it was listed by the dealer. Base MF, no BS fees added to the deal, slight markup on the acquisition fee. I did buy the wear and tear package for piece of mind. This particular GLS is one of the many that were used at the 2025 Master’s Tournament in Augusta, GA.
Superb deal! Congrats on the new ride. You’ve got Burmester 3D, extended nappa leather, massaging seats… and pillows!
Special event cars can be the way to go, especially since they’re often loaded with options, which generally don’t have much impact on the value of the vehicle on the secondary market, while the residual is still based on the MSRP.
Sweet interior! I appreciate you posting the pics!
He also has the Maybach inlays (black with white stripes). Super cool. But no second row sun shades. Someone forgot to check that option.
And the soft close doors! Now I have to actually close the doors myself…shame! LOL
I was told by a local dealer that MB provided 100 GLSs equipped just like this one to the Master’s.
Congrats.
“Fart by golf professionals” LOL
@JimmyJames Did you search specifically for this configuration? Curious if there’s a way to search via the MB website for these specific demo’s? I’m guessing not LOL
Cars.com and Autotrader. I narrowed the search to gray cars, and then I searched for cars with the 22” wheels.
I just snagged a very similar variant MSR $108870 with very similar configuration for $949/month. I signed deal on 29th Dec with only 1900 demo miles., very happy with vehicle so far!
Congrats. May i know how many miles on demo it was?
Beautiful! Great job!
Just under 4,000 miles.
Were you able to sort by ‘demo’ or other keyword? TIA great deal 4u
In my searches, I kept the mileage to under 10k. It takes a lot of clicking to get one that is a demo. When I contacted Barrington Mercedes, they initially said this car and its twin were not eligible for leasing. I pushed back a little bit on that. The salesman was able to verify that it was leasable. Clearwater MB had some demos, but they mark their demos as sold so don’t qualify for leasing. I ran into that with some other dealers.
Could’ve just clicked on Carfax to see for yourself.
That was one of the first things I checked.
Fantastic deal! Congratulations on the new GLS.
Would you mind sharing the pricing for the wear and tear package and prepaid maintenance? I’d love to know if you negotiated those separately.
Also, for the benefit of the community, could you walk us through your initial dealer outreach? Did you mention a target price upfront, and how did you structure that first email?
Thanks again!
Bow Tie guy copying this thread and he’s buying up brass hats to lease out. It’s @Bumboola ’s time to get a lease hack from Dougie Fresh.
