This particular car had a very generous dealer discount of $6k, which is 14% off MSRP. I think part of this had to do with the Glacier Gray color, plus time on the lot. That discount stacked with three Ford incentives: $6250 EV RCL Credit + $2k Public Charging Credit + $1k Final Days Mega Bonus Cash for an incentive total of $9250. The dealer was very easy to work with. Online sales, in person sales, and finance were all extremely pleasant and straightforward with everything.

The calculator showed a target of $279 a month, so I was only $15 over that per month, which I am totally fine with given the incentives and discounts!

Completely constructively, the calculator is never off by that much, so when you have some time you might go back and figure out where the input error(s) occurred.

Mastering how to gather all the inputs and correctly entering them into the calculator are among the most useful (and reusable) skills I picked up here.

Enjoy the car!

Thanks! Oh don’t worry, I’m definitely the kind of obsessive nerd that wants to solve the problem and figure it out  When I have a few minutes, probably when I’m wide awake in the middle of the night, I will be looking through the contract terms to see where the extra $500-ish went. Probably build yet another spreadsheet…

I’m guessing either I’m entering something in wrong, or the dealer snuck something in there somewhere afterall. But hats off to them if they did, they were extremely pleasant and easy to work with, and nothing looked off on the paperwork.

At the end of the day my wife is going to daly the car, and she is happy with the car and with the deal, so that’s what is really important. Even though it is definitely going to nag at me until I figure it out…

Great job. Enjoy your your new car.
