Just signed Lightning XLT, 24/10k, $227/mth including tax, 1st month due at signing. It was the last day for the $2500 Ford PCO, so i jumped on it. It will replace my Ariya which is due back in a couple of months.
I reached out to a local dealer Saturday night asking if he could lease it at $225/mth, with 1st due at signing. I told him a 12% discount plus all the incentives would get us there. He replied back this morning that he could do it. No negotiation required (makes me think i should have been more aggressive ). Payment went up a couple of dollars since i had to get a new plate. Actual discount was a bit more than 12% because they add a ~$1000 package onto every vehicle, but at least it includes some sort of tire protection.
I know its been a bit, but what city were you in ? I am in NC and Dealers I have been working with are all over and pretty much won’t budge on discounts over $3k it seems. Fee and add ons are also huge at some of them. What did your total discount end up being for incentives after the 12%?
I have a $2000 private offer expiring 9/30, wife won’t let me get one because we already have 2 leases . Maybe if I can get one for under 200 a month…. would need 15% discount though so will be tough. Ford lease transfers are easy so honestly should be no brainer if I can get one at 200/mo
Incentives were $2000 less than they are now. It was the last day of employee pricing for all (and expiration date of the $2500 PCO). Dealer was one of my local triangle ones. At the time they had 20+ Lightnings on their lot, now there are only 4.
Their price included a $987 protection package, so actual dealer discount was ~13%. Protection package does include Ford Surface and Tire Care + window tint, so not that usurious as those things go.
I had a level 2 charger plus a 240V outlet installed in the garage a few weeks ago. Ever since then, there is no range anxiety for the standard range Lightning. The only thing I really miss is comfort access door unlock when I walk the dogs and need to close the garage door with my hands full of leashes.
I also have level 2 charging at home, but also would like to have the option of using the truck for roadtripping.
Beside that, the lack of small things like ACC in the XLT is kinda mind boggling…
edit: if I can’t get a Silverado EV I’ll end up getting a Lightning next month… if I can get one sub-$300 I won’t bother if it is a XLT at that price.
Is PCO the same thing as a private offer? Or how do I go about trying to acquire one? Local dealer has a few XLTs so trying to replicate but not sure it’s possible anymore if incentives already changed?
I was listening to a newscast specifically about how poorly received the F150 lightning has been by the blue collar truck driving community. Nevertheless, every Ford dealer acts like these are as high demand as any other truck on the lot. Good luck.
