Total out the door one-pay price was $4,636 (actually $4775 as dealership charged 3% credit card fees to pay with a card). Includes $450 in excess wear and tear insurance which I decided to take for peace of mind as this is my first time leasing.
Many thanks again to those who willingly shared their knowledge on the forum and directly by responding to this post. It was certainly the encouragement I received from these responses that kept my hope up when I lost the earlier deal on the 2024 model and soon after, land this even better deal on the 2025 model.
At the dealership, it took ~8 hours to get through the process vs my plan of 2 hours tops. Many steps took longer than expected and there were some unexpected obstacles to navigate including an unexpected price increase of ~$600 which the dealer ultimately agreed to not pass on to me after I protested. It was tied to wrong instructions on how to apply for the GM card to get $500 rebate. The card application has to be originated by a specific URL the dealer shares and not just via a google search as the sales person had informed me.
Happy to take Qs and share my knowledge (limited as it might be).
DM me and I’ll provide the details. The internet sales manager confirmed yesterday that all of the deals I received are still active. He’d said they’d be glad to work with anyone and provide the incentives as long as they apply to the buyer.
My understanding is the $1750 rebate applies only to the 2025 LT trim and not the RS trim. I wasn’t aware of this rebate myself but another LH member reached out to me after seeing my original deal check post and informed me about its availability which allowed me to craft the deal and approach a few dealers. Just passing along what I heard. Certainly doesn’t hurt to ask for whichever trim you’re interested in. But when I asked for it on a RS trim with similar MSRP as a LT trim, the one-pay cost was much higher by about $3k. I didn’t probe deeply into the differences to understand why the RS trim was higher.
My wife went after this deal and was able to get it for approx $6k for 24/12K. The same dealer could not replicate the deal. Called this deal a mistake and the customer lucky for scoring it. still relatively cheap for an EV lease but not as sweet as the OP.
Congratulations on your new ride! The Equinox EV has been wonderful to drive.
Sorry to hear that the dealer couldn’t replicate. So what changed? They didn’t apply the same incenitves? If not already done so, pls share your LH Calculator and contract on LH.
Congrats on your purchase. I thought that in Texas you pay taxes (8.25%) on the whole selling price - but in your calculators it is listed as 1.2%, any idea why that is?
