Signed - 2025 BMW i4 xdrive40, $400/mo; 0 down, 3 years/30k lease

I have been in the market looking for a lease for 10 days. It is hard; August EV lease market is crazy like a zoo - every buyer is eyeing on the good deals. If you see a good one, jump on it immediately otherwise it will be gone. I missed one car having slightly lower price tag. This lease is not a crazy good one, but good enough. I am exhausted of negotiating with the dealers and just wanted to be done - the dealers are extremely busy right now and they don’t have the dedicated attention to the every single buyer.

Loaner with almost 2000 miles.

$0 down payment. $400 monthly payment including 7.75% tax rate.

The car is 300 miles away. Need to pay to ship it to my home state.

There are a few i4 loaners I negotiated with the dealers but I did not signed. 36 months, 10000 miles per year. DM me if you are interested. I can send you the details.

  1. 2025 loaner in PA with around 5000 miles. Xdrive40. 0 down $425 per month 7.75% tax included.
  2. 2025 loaner in VA with around 1500 miles. Xdrive40. 0 down $400 per month 7.75% tax included. (I signed this one)
  3. 2025 loaner in CT with around 3000 miles. Xdrive40. 0 down $490 per month 7.75 tax included.
  4. 2025 loaner in MD with around 3000 miles. Xdrive 40. 476 down $476 per month 7.75 tax included

Why haven’t you signed yet?

The dealer is working on the paperwork. I did the credit application and gave them the credit card for the down and first month payment.

I need to find a deal like this

Exactly! I need a deal like this and better since and my sales tax is only 6% and doc fee is only $260!

Fees upfront?

No, all fees rolled into the month payments. $500 down.

It will be fun watching dealers with their existing EV inventory over the next 45 or so days.

To be honest, I think most of the EV inventory will be gone by then if the dealers price them competitively. Most of the dealers have very limited 2025 i4 inventories eligible for lease and all the incentives right now. The buyers are fomo - just shut up and take my money.

I agree, but they also are racing one another to deplete their existing EV inventory before 9/30. I’ve personally received some of the most aggressive quotes on PHEV and EV than I have in a while.

They’ll likely be punched as loaners and put to work.

Makes sense. I figured they’d get to a level they’re comfortable with and do that with the remaining ones.

Exactly, there are almost 0 new i4s in Houston. But a great selection of demos!

But who ever knew there was a difference between BMW Digital Key and Digital Key Plus? Maybe there was a shortage of UWB chips when they were doing the 2025 update.

We have inbounds available. New units in stock have become quite the commodity.

Are we all going to pour one out for the end of EV/PHEV leasing bonanza at the end of next month? We can toast and start praying for deals on ICE again?

Commercial loophole lasted for years. Heck of a run!

Im sure they’ll figure something out whether it’s monkeying with the residual on fresh arrivals (post 9/30) or buying down the rate.

Yeah. EVs are too good to go away

My guess is EV manufacturers will adjust the price downward by several thousand dollars and adjust the RV upwards. The deflated MSRP will give them room to raise the RV to match what the market is telling them.

Just signed a lease of BMW i4. Zero down, monthly $400 including 7.75% tax.

I noticed that the amount under “14. Estimated fees and taxes” is very high - $7,433.28…

Wonder what are included in this number -

  1. The tax of BMW rebates $11900 (is the tax rate 7.75%?)
  2. 36 months tax $28.82 x 36 = $1037.52
  3. Acquisition fee $925
  4. Dealer fee $999
  5. Gov Fee - Registration and title etc $713
  6. Property tax for 3 years? (Yes, CT residents pay property tax on cars)

Am I right? Thank you.

Emphasis on price competitively, I had a dealer who would not take $1 off a loaner Equinox EV. Good luck!
