What was dealer discount vs. rebates? Should of had dealer cut you a check for the positive equity IMO

Thanks for the feedback! Here’s the breakdown:

  • Dealer Discount: $6,400 (~11% off MSRP)
  • Rebates/Incentives: $8,673.64
    • $7,500 EV Lease Credit
    • $1,000 Manufacturer Credit
    • $500 Military Rebate
    • $2,860 of positive equity was rolled into the deal.

I agree with your point about positive equity! Looking back, having the dealer cut me a check for the $2,860 would have been cleaner and allowed me to apply that toward reducing the overall lease cost or saving it outright. At the time, I opted to roll it in for convenience, but I’ll consider this approach for future deals.

Thanks again for the insight! Always learning from the community!
