I actually like these a lot, probably one of the best fun and practical buys under $25k. It’s a great alternative to a Civic Si or Jetta GLI at a much more palatable price point. Plus you got a decent discount.
As you already discovered, strangely so few of the Jettas Sports are manual.
As a manual these will surely hold decent value long term.
That’s a hell of a deal. I got mine last week, and I opted for the much more common white Jetta Sport manual. Sale price at $22992, and got it down to $22,506 at 2.9% for 60mo. Anyhow, I am noticing a slight grind when I upshift into 5th gear from either 3rd or 4th gear. I do not hear it any other time, even when I down shift from 6th to 5th. I am about to let the shop take a look but wanted to see if anyone else was having the same issue.
Id recommend posting on a model specifc forum or facebook page re the shifting problem.
