DISCLAIMER-

This is the only car we wanted and I’m sharing the data point for anyone else looking for this specific vehicle.

Insufficient information to judge.

Post your calculator for your target deal you based your negotiations on.

Your tax rate isnt .625%.

It looks like you put together a calculator where you just randomly adjusted the discount amount until the output numbers matched, which doesnt work with the wrong tax rate.

I am less interested in the calculator for this deal and more with the calculator for the target deal that defines what a good deal is.

yea that tax rate is a mistake its 6.625…

also i did not negotiate with a calculator at the dealership. i simply told them what i wanted to pay. im trying to use the paperwork provided to input the numbers. im really not sure how i got to where i am paying.

all i know is that im paying it.

ill try to figure the calc out more today. any help apprecated.

i also posted this deal to try to help others since there is so little about the atlas on this fourm

How did you determine this target? The point of the calculator is to inform you of what the right number of what you should be paying is.

There are cars that are lease hacks and there are cars that are buy/finance hacks.

Choosing something outside of those two sets means you’ve inadvertently or explicitly chosen to overpay.

fixed the numbers. this is the best i can come up with off my paperwork

calc is showing i should be paying $672 a month

Your tax rate is still off by a factor of 10

i give up lol

You could try posting your contract w/ the identifying information redacted.

Why MSRP is so high, did the vehicle came with a lot of factory installed acessories? Or is it Market Value Selling Price?

AWD with custom color only gets me to $55,405.

i will post that tomorow that would help! see if im doing it correctly. id like to learn!

i have alot of dealer installed items… i corrected the msrp to just over 57k including destination charges

does nearly 700 a month for a VW sound like you did well? There are QX60s, MDXs, hell, maybe even an RX, not to mention a palisade or a telluride, which all could have been cheaper.

In NJ the OP could have swung a $90k iX at that price point.

Dealer installed items don’t increase the msrp in the calculator, just the selling price.

i could have did alot of things. but not my prefrence. maybe yours, not mine. not a bmw person…

sure other makes could have been cheaper. but did i want other makes? i live in nj, hell, i can live in other areas of the country for cheaper. but i dont. your comment is irrelevant to my decision. we wanted the vw it works for our family. i asked how i did for leasing a vw. dont compare apples to oranges. i tried to go through a broker like my last two cars (ive used you before) but there prices were higher. i posted this to help inform other buyers in the market for a atlas. ive already had someone message me asking where i got the car.
