2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury I RWD
MSRP: $63,XXX
Loaner demo w/ ~4k miles
24 months/12k miles per year
$450 (Includes ~10% KS Tax)
Total DAS - $450 (first month payment)
Qualifying rebates: Costco, Conquest, GM Supplier
From the paperwork it shows a CCR of $9500, and “agreed upon value of vehicle” as ~$59.4k
They originally had sent me $14,500 in incentives with no reduction in MSRP which was coming back at ~$600/mo with 0 DAS, but they shuffled some stuff around and I ended up happy with the price.
They did however keep on $2k in unnecessary add-ons, but since the price was close to my target I decided to stop the song and dance and take it.
As always - appreciate all the help from fellow LHers in sharing their deals as examples!
The bad:
The audio system really sucks on this base model.
Infotainment is laggy, seems like I have to push everything 2-3 times before it registers the touch.
The MyCadillac app is awful. Not sure if other people are having the same issues, but mine will rarely actually get updates from the car no matter how many times I click “update now”. It also only sends commands maybe 1/10 times at best.
The thing sways like a boat. Every tiny turn/bump and I’m swaying side to side.
The good:
Quiet
The regen paddle is awesome, really like it and hope it becomes a thing on other cars.
Back seat is spacious. I’ve got two car seats back there and you can actually fit an adult between them comfortably.
Not a ton of them on the road in my area, so it’s a bit unique still.
The price.
I’m hopefully that since most of my gripes about the car are tech based that they’ll maybe be addressed with software updates in the future - but the fact I have to take it to the dealer for software updates is another negative.
Overall I’m still happy with the purchase, but if I could go back maybe I’d target a Lux2 to get the better audio system.
Firs off, congratulations on the new ride. Second, yeah, with the exception of yawing side to side, it seems your comments are mostly positive. Have you driven any other EV to have a point of reference?
And then Lux 2 would have cost you 50% more in payments maybe. The fact that it’s quiet, makes up for the audio quality, and maybe you could meditate (don’t close your eyes) while driving.
Overall, I take your input as mostly positive. Please focus on enjoying rather than analyzing.
