Found this deal by searching on Cargurus for the cheapest LLR in the nation, called dealer last week but they never got back to me. I decided to call back yesterday and spoke to a manager who worked out the deal with me over phone/text. Booked a $101 Frontier flight, got picked up at airport, signed, drove 6.5 hours, plus another 1.5 hour for charging stops and a nap.

Dealer is out of EV9s

Congrats on the new ride!

Initial 425 mile drive home review, please note that I’ve owned the following EVs in the past 3 years:
Bolt, Lightning, Mach-E, Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, Model 3, Model Y, Model X (currently have Ioniq 6 and EV9)

-Vented seats on base trim is great
-Seats/Headrest are comfy
-Display is very smooth/quick, seems upgraded from HI5/HI6
-Homelink on base trim is great
-6 Seater fits my needs
-Very quiet interior
-Fast enough even though it’s RWD
-Speakers are fine
-App is surprisingly good
-Charge curve is great, 10-80% in 25mins on a 350kw
-Enough legroom for 6 adults if 2nd row adults move forward a bit
-Huge frunk due to RWD
-Basically no subtrunk is annoying
-Wireless CarPlay is nice
-Wireless phone charger is slow, not vented like EV6
-USB C ports everywhere is great
-110V Outlet in the back is nice
-Efficiency is as expected, but will see how it does in the winter
-ADAS feels like it hugs right
-$40 micro transactions for display themes is big troll
-Phone as key is very nice
-Didn’t come with key card but good to know it exists
-There is manual preconditioning available!
-Manual key being outside of key fob is annoying

I see $9000 rebate in my location $7500 + $1500 specific vins. Similar to yours but a little different. I might try and see if I can get something close to this.

lol I got the same deal on that car but they didn’t respond to an email, so I moved on to a PA dealer instead.

For my deal, I booked spirit instead of frontier.

$15 flight, but I paid $40 for an Uber to the dealer.

Beaver? I went with these guys because wife wanted white

they have a white in their showroom!

Congrats!! Love the EV9 so far… I got the Wind trim also in white.

Mine is at the dealer right now for a paint and tire vibration issue but they gave me an EV9 GT-Line loaner so I’m happy with that. I’m curious how the winter range will be on your LLR without the heat pump. With Kia / Hyundai only the AWD trims get the heat pump. Would be cool for out of spec to do a side by side winter test.

I think they actually did one look for comaprison on LLR amd GTL

Have you compared a RWD vs AWD EV9 driving experience?

I test drove a Land AWD and liked the driving experience except the understeer. Is the RWD the same?

There’s no RWDs near me to test drive.

There were non-negotiable features that only came on the land trim and higher, so I never drove anything but a land.

I have no complaints with how the awd set up drives. Havent pushed it hard though.

I’ve owned like 9 different EVs and have no complaints about the performance of this RWD model. However, I have a baby now so it’s not like I’m flooring it any time soon

I’ve been driving the gt line as a loaner right now… it’s super nice. The Land started leasing well after I got the Wind… with payments being close right now between both I would do the Land over the Wind as you get the 360 camera. Both are awesome cars though and either would serve someone well. I’ve never drive the LLR RWD yet.

One of the must have features that I hate Kia for not doing on lower trims was memory seat recall. The EV9 is our family car, so my wife drives it during the week and if we all go out, I drive. Manually changing seat position every time is super annoying. There were lots of other nice little features too, but that was the deal breaker on the lower trims for me.

Congrats! I’ve never seen this car on the road but looks pretty decent. The longest range one at 300+/charge would be price nice for such a large car.

That’s an incredible deal from the research I did.

I should’ve waited, but ended up with an ioniq 5 sel for 250 a month.
