Just signed a deal on a 2024 Kia EV9 Land trim, with tow hitch.
Prior to this, I had an offer for same car without tow hitch for $670/mo (10k/36mo) with first payment due at signing. Also had an offer for under $600/mo on an $82k MSRP Mercedes EQE 350 4matic (7,500/24 mo) with MSDs
This dealer worked to close the gap on the higher MSRP Mercedes! Ended up at $625/mo with first payment due at signing (actually, I also paid for crossbars at inception too, but the monthly stayed exactly where we agreed to-- it just altered the contract a little)
-10k miles a year for 24 months
-$0 down except first payment of $625
-got $12,700 incentive from Kia and $1k dealer flex cash (dealer reduced purchase price with this, which is why its not explicit in calculator)
-pre-incentive discount was approx 3.5% discount.
Considering my initial quotes were in the high 7s, I am pretty happy with this. But as always am open to feedback on how to improve my game
I do wonder if I could have tried to work for greater discount, but the numbers otherwise worked for me. If I include the dealer flex cash, the āpreincentiveā discount (post dealer flex cash) would be 4.8%
You merged the Discount and Incentives together and it blurs if you are getting a good discount, move the Incentives down to Non Taxable Incentives so you can see it properly.
My only issue is you got 13700 in incentives but Aronchi shows 14800 in incentives on an EV9 Land, I wonder if there is 1100 in a specific VIN incentive that got skipped.
I corrected the post. it was 10/36. The incentives are different on 24 vs 36. What kills you on 24 now is the NJ EV registration fee. I was able to lock in the 0% sales tax for 36 for basically same payment as 24. Just have to worry about those tires now (my EQE chewed through a set in 10k miles. The concern is real on this 7k pound vehicle-- but thats another thread for another day :))
thats an interesting idea-- honestly hadnt considered it. Before my EQE, never had an issue with EV chewing through tires (at 10k miles!). This vehicle is my first EV with actual āEV Ratedā tires on it so I am not sure if this will eat them as fast. What you suggest is a great hedge.
It does depend on your driving habits / needs. Iām in CA so all tires can be added here, you are in NJ so you might need specific tires.
For me, just changing to a tire with a warranty fixes it , and I donāt have to change back.
For example, on my Nissan Ariya at 12,000 Iām at 5/32 on all 4.
Bridgestone OEM
$256 x 4 101V No Warranty
These Falkens
$192 x 4 105V 60k warranty.
Or these NoName Westlakes (If I really need to save)
$101 x 4 105V 50k Warranty
So in my case, changing to The Falkens will save me as it will last until the end of my lease. But I will NOT be using Bridgestones again as it will cost me possible 3 total sets before I return it. Note : Using XLs will lessen my mileage.
