Just Signed a 1 pay lease for a Kia EV6 Light Long Range AWD 36/10, unique circumstances allowed me to do a 1 pay when they normally don’t, I don’t expect other Kia dealers to play ball. Was just test driving EVs in lieu of the new credit and didn’t expect to sign and was set on a Wind AWD but the numbers ended up too good to not sign. Was quoted $141.07/m after negotiating approx 7% off MSRP, but I’d shown interest in a 1-pay due to being jobless right now, credit score was good enough but HMF didn’t want to finance me due to me being jobless, sales/finance ended up being able to convince HMF to let me do a 1 pay, which when putting in the information it went down to $4258 which is approx $118/m.

Can you submit your redacted contract? That’s an amazing deal but I’m afraid it’s a unicorn rather than what people can expect. I’ve been looking for two weeks trying to find a dealer who will play ball but the lowest total 36mo cost I could find was about $9300 on an Ioniq 6 SEL. This deal is a good one for a student who has graduated and is no longer a dependent on parents’ taxes and is earning <$45k. You’d think that with $7500 federal rebate and $9000 state rebate it’d be easy to get a steal. The deals I’ve been offered from Nissan & Hyundai all have interest rates around 6%. Even getting the Adj Cap Cost - Gross Cap Cost down to $1700 the Rent charge over 36mo is about $5k, add $3k down, and $1k in sales tax. It’d be even better to get the sales price < $45k to exempt the first $15k from sales tax but there are very few vehicles that are under $45k.
Without the salesperson convincing HMF to allow a 1-pay for 36months it would’ve been $141.07, at Kia the MF quoted to me was 0.00092 which equates to 2.21%, I was looking at Ioniq5s at the time as well due to wanting the higher roof line but they were quoting me the same interest rate you’re getting for them which kills the deal.
When you were considering an Ioniq5, can I ask if you considered leasing from brokers like Omega (link below) and getting it delivered in state? I’m moving into Seattle next month and would consider an EV6 or Ioniq5 if it was possible to get a good deal on them.
I did not, but it seems like a good deal if you don’t qualify for the WA State Rebate. I also would be against them since I want an AWD vehicle due to going to Snoqualmie often enough that AWD will make a difference, along with snow tires.
Thanks - yes, we don’t qualify for the rebate. We’ll probably need one AWD since we’ll probably head to Snoqualmie as well and one RWD for moving around town. We’d probably just qualify for the 12000 lease cash and not qualify for the 9000 state rebate, but I imagine that still isn’t a bad deal if we just get the lease cash - not as good as this though!
