Found a Hornet that had been sitting for a while and a dealer willing to move it at the end of the month in September. I maybe could have negotiated even lower, but they were great to work with and hit my target going in of about $100 a month. Unfortunately, it’s the last one they had.
Originally was looking for an R/T, not an R/T Plus, but there weren’t many of them. The R/T Plus in September had a $4,000 bonus cash offer compared to the R/T at $2,000 which helped offset the difference in costs.
For those trying to replicate, look for one with a VIN-specific aged inventory discount which has an extra $2,000 in rebates, though the other rebate offers may now change in October onward so all the other rebates might not apply anymore.
May I ask, I’m curious how did you get $15000 rebate? I only got $14500, $6500 clean vehicle, $2000 lease cash, $4000 west bc, $2000 overaged. Is it Stellantis lease loyalty? Do you have a lease car with Stellantis Financial?
Yeah, for sure. I am not surprised the Hornets didn’t move well. There were many dealers that wouldn’t budge from $250-350 a month which made no sense at any of the numbers if even basic incentives were applied.
This is exactly how I felt yesterday when I was hunting down a hornet on the “last” day. I was shocked by the amount of unqualified idiots who work at Dodge dealerships, who can only reply “$300/month with $2500 due at signing” while completely ignoring my numbers/reasoning.
Luckily for me, I was able to find an adequate dealership in 50 miles and close the deal by EOD.
If you are asking the original post, he has no idea of his break down of $15k
It is Oct, would be too late anyways
But since Hornet doesn’t sell if it isn’t cheap enough, not sure if Stellantis will continue to offer good rebate and low money factor with higher residual. Dealers also need to anticipate with decent discount.
I tried but couldn’t generate one! Would have been sweet for sure with a TDM code or a loaner vehicle.
On the topic of Dodge dealers, I literally had one salesperson tell me outright that they didn’t like me cross shopping (yes, in 2025 with the internet) and to make other dealers do the pricing work, then come back to them their best offer so they can beat it. And, of course, they didn’t.
I generated like 5 of these things for people on LH. Sometimes 2 or 3 for people since the car that was identified didn’t match what they were actually trying to get. I don’t know why my computer worked to get these codes.
It was due to a cookie stored on your machine. I generated close to 50 Jeep TDM codes. Sometimes, like 4-5 in a row. The trick was to change the flag to “false,” close the browser, and generate new code. The funny thing is, I didn’t get Jeep. Only helped people close the wagoneer deal. and for the same reason, I couldn’t generate Dodge code. Only Jeep.
