Did we not know this already? It’s made in the same factory as the Alfa Romeo Tonale

Yes, I was aware of their connection, but not in this proportion. I guess I expected the U.S. parts to make up at least 1%.

Why would they import American parts to EU just to send them back in the cars?

The only American part in the car is the $7,500 of US taxpayer trunk money.

Also, a bunch of protection plans invented in the US for the US market. LOL.

I have never heard about similar products sold in Europe.

I want to be wrong.

Does it qualify for the $7500 for having 0% US content?

The Leasing Loophole that was all the rage on LH allowed the EV incentive to bypass almost all of the rules that were in place.

That’s why the $7,500 was available for a McLaren Artura or Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E 4-Door Coupe with Performance 4MATIC+… which you know did almost nothing to help the environment and was only bought by people who probably don’t need $7,500 of government cheese.

You’re right, that does seem counterproductive, but I imagine it happens in certain cases due to supply, design, or regulatory reasons. I just thought some of the things that differentiate the Hornet from the Tonale might include U.S. made parts potentially installed here.

I don’t even know that there is a factory in the USA. Every stellantis I’ve seen in the last several years was made in Mexico

Wranglers are made in Toledo and Chargers are made in Canada.

Don’t forget Jefferson North for the Grand Cherokee and Warren for trucks and Waggys.

Honest with you, I’m from Ohio and I know about jeeps but I’ve never driven one in my life :joy: it’s Honda everywhere in columbus
