Big thank to this forum. You guys had taught me so much in such a small span of time.
I singed an equinox ev last month at a criminal low price ($2424) because some kind person on this forum sent me their lease contract.
The lease contract paper is such an incredible tool to negotiate, basically all game, all bullshit are off the table once u sent the dealer the paper you want to match.
I waited 30 day(when lease loyalty kick in) and lease another Equinox EV, this time with $5k rebate and total is $1550.
I have $430 in Gm point to redeem but it’s already so low that I feel bad bothering them with this extra discount since they already work really really hard for my rebate.
Once again, thank you everyone who help me.
I plan to stay on this forum and help other new people like me a month ago.
Big thank to @ahayupp paper was the base for almost all of my negotiation Cz it’s too insane to be true. Thank you sir!
Wow. Congrats! Is this only available in California and only for the Equinox? I live in Texas and I wonder if I can swing a deal like this. Thanks a lot.
Literally 10 gm dealers in my 1 hour driving radius. And they all have hella EV because…. Surprise Surprise…. Californian buy EV at the rate that most other state can even come close to even half and that’s 2016 stats.
So pretty much supply demand
Your rental charges should have been 13.00 and not 1300 as in the contract. The rental charges are calculated by multiplying (Adjusted capitalized cost plus the residual value) multiply by the one pay money factor of 0.00018.
So it should be (38415 + 33856) * 0.00018 = 13.0073.
Question for you,
I do not see acquisition fees, the other contract which you got from another LH user, did that contract show acquisition fees?
Also your total license and registration fees is 547, is that correct for your zip code for a car sale price of 37927?
Can you please confirm your zip code sales tax is 8.75%?
Thanks & appreciate your help in sharing this deal info.
The dealer did intentionally use 0.018 as the MF instead of 0.00018. Also in the formula which I provide above I corrected it. I have done 3 car leases upto now and this is how the rents were calculated. This is where they made $1287, but if they put rent charges of $13, then your one pay would have been only $269, no dealer would let anyone pay $269 for a 2 year lease. I guess that is why you are seeing 1200-1500 rent in other contracts as well. Maybe a socal dealer thing. I would suggest you focus with the dealer on the rent charges in your next deal.
Below is the link which explains how rent charges are calculated for a car lease.
It was 0.0007 actually. When I was doing the calculator.
Doesn’t matter to me cz they didn’t promise me the 0.00018. I think they did what they have to do to make the deal make sense?
I was there to pay around $1500 out the door for 2 years lease, they did their math stuff, I got
It $1550. I didn’t even bother look at the math tbh lmao
