No, I actually didn’t have to push on the vehicle price at all. They offered that discount in their initial offer.
I had been searching for a Blazer EV since November of last year and was tracking the price of about 60 vehicles across the mid-Atlantic/Southeast. Some dealerships were offering discounts larger than the ~7.4K that I got, but didn’t want to do an out-of-state lease deal.
Isn’t the dealer discount basically the EV tax credit? If they didn’t have a EV tax credit on that Blazer EV then Chevrolet gave a rebate equivalent to that?
The EV tax credit and the GM EV rebate are only being applied to EV purchases. For EV leases, GM decided to raise the residual value used in the lease contract to account for the EV credit/rebate.
Had I been looking to purchase, I would have received the EV tax credit/GM EV rebate in addition to the dealer discount.
The money due at signing is in the topic heading. The amount is what was required to be charged to the GM Rewards credit card to get the $500 lease incentive.
