A friend of mine (not on LH) mentioned to me that he was interested in Cadillac Lyriqs and I brought up how some people on the site were getting 2 yr one pays for $7k-$8k. He said find me one in that range and I’ll take it. Hopped on autotrader not expecting much but found these two 2024 Sport 3 RWDs that just got listed.
Reached out to the dealer expecting them to say internet price was some sort of mistake of how it already included rebates but lo and behold they said it was the pre incentives price. With absolutely 0 pushing from my end here are the numbers I ended up with. Ended up being low enough that I decided might as well sign for one too.
Both deals included $5k of lease end protection (finance department told me I had to take it - wasn’t going to fight them on this at this price)
Uploaded the contract to signed and to be honest I couldn’t explain how all the numbers come together if I tried. There was some $2,495 dealer add on baked into the price (not sure what it even was) but again wasn’t going to fight it.
And no - dealer will not replicate. They were supposed to have a third to give to another friend that is active on LH, but that car ended up being over the mileage cap for a loaner to be leasable.
Congratulations!! Good one. What was the mileage limit to lease eligible? What zip code did you lease? Also helps if you can share dealer discount, loaner discount.
Does the “GM card sign up” have to happen at the dealership at the time of lease/purchase? I have an appointment with a dealer this Sunday not sure the GM credit card department is open on Sunday.
No, you can apply ahead of time using the QR code supplied by the dealer (just ask them - the QR code is specific to the dealer - so they need to send it to you).
You will apply via the application form, and if approved, get a temporary GM Rewards card number + expiry date + CVV. You must save these as that is what the dealer will use to charge $1000 for part of the down-payment on the car.
Note: you cannot use that temporary card number for anything other than a purchase at a GM dealer, so don’t go around racking up purchases on it until your official card arrives in about 10 days.
Thanks! The drive is excellent. I guess I was expecting it to be kinda similar to my Equinox EVs and Blazer EV but it’s definitely next level. Super isolated and very potent even as RWD - more so than my AWD Blazer. Definitely not as fun as my i4 though
As the other commenter mentioned, you can do it ahead of time. His explanation was already very thorough so I won’t reiterate but essentially the dealer just sent my friend the QR code ahead of time.
Thanks! Since leasing is ultimately a function of multiple factors, including purchase price, seeing purchase pricing is very helpful. It allows you to identify cars with the biggest discounts off MSRP
I’ve talked to probably 20 different Cadillac dealerships over the past 3-4 days. Have gotten essentially nowhere, none of them are willing to get anywhere near this pricing. Closest I got was one who got back to me after reviewing my offer and said they’d match the ~14k rate but when we started discussing it hadn’t realized I wanted to apply the conquest cash, cta incentive etc against that rate (despite my offer very clearly laying that out?). Guess they wanted to keep all the rebates themselves? Once we clarified they said they’d rerun the numbers and get back to me- radio silence. the cars I have inquired about were high mileage 24 loaners (many over 6k!). Unless there’s something I’m missing, my sense is to a certain extent the dealers willing to move these loaners at hackr pricing have essentially been “mined.” I had multiple dealers come back to me with ‘24 loaner leases priced higher than the walk-in lease rate I was quoted locally for a 0-mile 2025 awd! Again, this is based on sending them offers, not asking for their best price or whatever. If anyone has tips or thoughts I’m open to it, would love to replicate this deal or even come reasonably close.
Looking to get this deal for myself. Every dealer I have reached out just doesnt want to go this low. Best I have gotten was about 12k total lease cost for a one payment, which seems ridiculous compared to deals like the above. Any help, dealer, or broker contacts would be greatly appreciated.
