Hello, looking for some help on a deal check for a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. Deal looks about right to me, but is there any meat on the bone here? Also, dealer keeps showing me a different payment with these numbers than I get with the info from Rate Findr so need to figure that out before signing.
Alright, so after some back and forth with a dealer I thought I was going to do this deal on a Loaner Sport 1 trim Lyriq, then a different dealer in town reached back out with the below deal to get me to take a brand new Lyriq Luxury 2 of the half dozen or so 2024s they have leftover instead. They didn’t have a loaner that was AWD like I was after originally but a Brand New Luxury 2 fit the bill and is the deal I have on the table that I’m pretty certain I will be signing on tomorrow.
I know I had to do $1k down with the GM card to get the $500 so tried to (hopefully correctly) reflect that in the calculator to account for paying the $1k needed to get the rebate.
MSRP: 74195
Selling Price: 62305 (16.03% off)
Rebates: $4500 (GM Rewards Card, Conquest, and Supplier)
Down Payment: 1299.56 ($1k down + first month as part of GM Rewards Card rebate)
Base monthly pmt: $273/mo
Effective monthly pmt: $341/mo
The deal looks solid. Couple of observations - I don’t think GM is charging an acquisition fee anymore so you should be able to take off the $695. Disposition fee is not due until you turn in the lease so you can remove it from your calculations, for now.
Since you are signing up for the GM card, consider doing a one-pay. This will bring your effective pmt to $294/month - see calc below. If I am not mistaken, I believe GM card gives you 0% APR for the first 6 months? Also, the card give you 7 or 8% back in points for GM purchases - so something to consider.
Yea, I thought of that after the fact, but I need to adjust the numbers on the calc a little. Ended up putting $1200 down to account for fees/taxes and also hit the $1k requirement for the GM Card. All in all, I signed at $299/mo including tax with the $1200 down so will need to fix my Calc. I had a first thing in the morning delivery scheduled that was dragging and I spaced as I was also trying to make sure I was out of there to make a Meeting at work.
Thanks! I mean if they could re-write the deal after the fact I would do the one pay most likely, but still at under $300/mo and the fact that I still get the $1500 Qmerit Charger install on the 2024 Im not going to lose any sleep on it.
Went back and got the Calculator Linked as close as I could to reflect the correct payment I signed at. For some reason adding the actual selling price resulted in an incorrect pmt… But the selling price on the contract was $62,740 - the $4500 in Rebates. I I checked all over the doc and cant find the rate, but maybe they marked up the MF a tiny bit? Either way though they got the target payment I wanted so I am happy. One regret is not doing a One Pay, but I wont lose sleep over that.
Where I am there are no DMV fees paid into leases at the dealer though I will certainly pay my property tax and fees when I go to register the car. For the EV credit as others have mentioned on the forum for GM leases, the $7500 tax credit is not listed out in rebates or anything directly applied as a cap reduction but rather used to mark up the RV meaning the depreciation part of the lease payment is cheaper. Also, I believe the only cadillacs that qualify for the Costco rebate are the Optiq and Vistiq. Last thing is that I don’t think this deal is replicable at this dealer as I got the last 2024 Lux 2, and all they have left are non-loaner Sport2s and Sport3s which will have lower RVs meaning higher pmts. Tried to replicate for a family member with the same dealer and the pmts on the other 24s they have were in the $500s.
