SIGNED: 2024 BMW iX xDrive50 - MSRP $104k - $955/month - 36/7500 - $3500 DAS No MSD

,

Learned a lot from LH and share my deal.
This is fully replicable and everyone should do better than this. The car is too ugly so not post pics. Almost all dealers I reached is motivated to move the inventory and offer something close to this except one small volume dealership with limited inventory. Closed deal with this one with preferred color/options and offer high end at my trade in.

MSRP: $104,xxx. Not loaded, missing a few options
Dealer discount: 12%
$9900 BMW rebate
Base MF at 111, they do not do MSD so wait for MSD check from BMWFS for the lease traded

36/7500 at
$3500 DAS
Monthly $886 before tax, $955 after 7.75% tax. Supposed to be around $940 but the number turned $15 monthly/$500 higher at the Finance office. As a LHer, shame that I did not read the contract carefully there and not found until the next day at home…

Paid $750 for 3 yrs windshield and dent protection. That’s personal choice since I had rock chip at almost every car…May cancel the dent protection since it cover paintless only with so many exclusion.

Congrats! 12% off and buy-rate is hard to come by! Enjoy the car!

However,

You got them down to a hard money loss and still asked for and are not happy that they didn’t give you free all weather mats? Seriously?

Having the dealer “throw in” all weather mats is something that people who get bad deals do to feel like they won, hah, don’t be surprised when they’re not going to do stuff like this or even possibly get annoyed about it you’ve negotiated down to no meat left on the bone.

This is exactly the reason we didn’t even mess with the EQS equity destruction event and it’s how customers get fired.

As LHer, we always ask for more :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
That’s BMW fault. If they design the car better looking, dealerships do not have to be bothered to sell at heavy discount. BMW should cover dealer’s loss

As LH’ers, we know how to get a great deal while hopefully still making that dealership want to do business with us in the future.

As LH’ers, we are more educated than the average buyer and we know where bottom is and usually negotiate in good faith knowing that the dealers are not making any money on our deals.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to make them want to work with you again, not leave the dealer with them putting a note in their CRM that says “asked for free mats on a 12% off deal”

This part of the negotiation is lost on so many people on here.

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing the deal.

Is it a 2023 or 2024?

Oops ,sorry, I see it is a 2024.

Did you consider a new 2023? Do you think it is possible to get a better discount on a 2023?

Thank you.

There are 26 new 2023’s left in the country and most of them likely have some floorplan money already factored into their cost basis or are on a prolonged stop sale.

In other words. Unlikely, but you’re welcome to try.

Thanks.

Pardon my ignorance. Could you briefly explain

“floorplan money already factored into their cost basis or are on a prolonged stop sale”

If the explanation is more trouble than you’d like, I certainly understand.

Hope all is well.

It cost money for the dealer to keep a car on the lot, this is often on a line of credit and thus interest accrues until the vehicle is sold.

On that note, It would appear that some dealers have decided they won’t take the write down to sell these cars at a prevailing market value.

I am at a high supply/demand market and not too hard for dealership to move inventory if they want to. Very rare that a car would have birthday cake at my local area.
Not interested in MY23 since they do not have better mf/rv/rebate incentive. There must be reason for MY23 inventory aging. We have dealerships with over 100 iX inventory+in transit. They may have a few fully equipped/bare bone/black on black/M60 that offer 15%+ off. If you would consider one of these, make an aggressive offer :slightly_smiling_face:

For those who read this and feel frustrated if they can’t get a 12% off and buy rate, don’t feel deflated.

This must be regional in an area where there are many of these cars or so. Getting 12% off and buy rate is not a walk in the park. It was hard enough for me to manage an equivalent to 10% off and buy rate.

I bought in July, maybe things have gotten a little softer, but I’m with @IAC_Scott here.

To OP. Congrats, you got a really good deal! It’s not as common as you think. Enjoy it, what color did you pick?

Yeah, good point, I didn’t even really touch on this statement:

Yes, it probably is replicable, but it won’t be easy and doing better than this would be very hard.

There might be a bit of market dynamics at play here, because there are quite literally 3x as many iX’s in the Western region than the Eastern region right now, as a matter of fact, the Western region has more than any other region in the country. Dealers that were holding on for dear life are now going to feel the pain. We’ll see if this allows for some better deals in the West.

This could probably be the reason why OP felt that way, maybe the western dealerships are starting my to feel the pain.

I bought in Florida, which has a reputation for hard deals to be had.

You’re sort of stuck in your own little region down there.

Thanks! Pretty much give up the exterior so avoid the black/red for better heat resistance.

Thanks for sharing. Just learned that the other region would be very different. Deleted my complaints to avoid being so demanding. My local area also have tons of i7 and XM, likely to be the hacker options.

TBH even in Black Sapphire the iX HVAC system keeps things nice and comfy in various climates.

The ventilated seats also are pretty legit.

Did this come with bowers and Wilkins? I hardly see that in the xdrive50
