I wanted another car at home. Wanted something cheap as a spare car. I initially contacted one dealer and one broker through LH. Both gave great deals. I also contacted another broker for Ioniq 5, 36 months lease which was also pretty great.
Just before making the final decision I decided to call a local dealer very close to my home to see what they are up to. The sales person told me that they can do $4500 One Pay. I was a bit surprised. It took them 1.5 days to get the final contract written correctly and the final amount came to be $4480 for a 24 months/10k miles lease.
I did not argue or ask to see the numbers. Just dropped in to sign and drive the car away. The manager did not seemed very pleased with the deal but the sales person was very happy that I got such a great deal. The manager told me they would not replicate (I asked for my colleague).
About the car:
It is much bigger than I expected. I had done no research on this car but it drives well. Equinox would have been better suited for me but I did not have Bolt rebate for Equinox.
I normally drive Lucid. But I have had my Lucid parked for the past two days so I can enjoy the new car. This drives well. I didn’t initially like the fake motor sound so I disabled it. But the car drives well and has all the features I wanted. The navigation is very well, my apps work seamlessly and the android system is very responsive. The remote start is great too. These features are very buggy in my Lucid. Regenerative braking and cruise control is good too.
I just wished they had memory seats and different settings for each profile/driver. Maybe they do have it at higher trims. But overall the car is pleasantly good.
Congrats! How is the ride quality between this and Lucid? I had this thought of trading in my PHEV for this after seeing the cheap lease numbers. But a bit undecided as I seriously want one of my vehicles to have lane centering.
There is a big difference. The seats are not as comfy and obviously moving from Sedan to a Big SUV is a different feel altogether. You are welcome to take it for a spin if you would like to test it out.
I just got a call from the dealership. Even though the documents I signed says 10k miles per year. The dealership told me that in the final documents from GM, they somehow assigned 12k miles per year to me. So apparently now I have 12k miles per year deal for the same price.
I am not sure how to confirm this since my GM account is not set up yet. I would call GM Financials next month to figure out what is going on.
