Signed: 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron $780/mo $780 DAS + $7200 MSDs

,

So, I’ve got my Q8 e-tron after discussing strategies for replacing my expiring i3 lease with a Q8 e-tron. After driving it home (I had never sat in a Q8 e-tron before I signed), I’m happy to report that it’s a great car to drive. It’s first an Audi, then an EV - and I mean that as a compliment.

MSRP $81,780 (Premium Plus)
Rebates $14,250 ($13,500 standard Audi incentive + $750 corporate fleet program)
DAS $780 (first month payment) + $7200 MSDs
Monthly Payment $780 (includes tax)
MF 0.00221 → 0.00176 with 10 MSDs

Audi Care $1099 (added 1% residual, now at 56%)

36 months / 10k mi

I couldn’t fit the calculator with my sales sheet numbers perfectly but I got 9.5 years according to the following:

Question 1: I know the incentives I qualify is $14250, but on the dealer sheet it states $15250. However it does not change the montly payment that they previously quoted me. Why this?

Question 2: How can I fit in Audi care in the calculator? Now I used 56% in the calculator but put the Audi Care premium in Dealer Fees, then I just changed that fee to get my monthly right. However I cannot get the MSD amount right.

Add $1,000 to the selling price and use $15,250 in rebates

Add $1,099 to the selling price and use adjusted RV

So how did they magically got $1,000 more in rebates for me? All other dealerships told me the incentive was $13,500 - and I have the coperate fleet incentive of $750.

It seems not a big deal except that $1000 in rebate would get taxed but $1000 discount would not.

Tried again using your tips (which make sense to me):

The Monthly is $28 too high and MSD is $1050 more than I paid…

That is extra $1,000 somewhere. Remove from the selling.

I think I have had an ‘aha’ moment. I might have added the acquisition fee twice: once in its supposed place and once in the dealer fees, as the $895 is listed in the ‘Document Service and Filing Fees’ section on the dealer’s sheet. Now I’m just $1 off on the monthly payment.

Plus, they could have made a mistake (?) to only collect 9 MSDs $800*9=$7200. But I confirmed with them the MF was indeed 0.00176, which needs 10 MSDs, as 1st SD does not lower MF. They did tell me almost no one asked for MSD and I was the first to do so in a long time - it took them maybe 2 hours to figure all things out. As a result I sat in every car they had on the show floor during that time…

Thank you @Ursus.

I’m just assuming the dealer found $1000 more incentives than I knew to make the dealer discount $1000 less. Maybe it makes their profit sheet look a little better.

The calculater says :“Max 10 MSDs (.00005 each). No MF reduction for the first MSD.” So I guess it’s specific to Audi?

Yeah, correct. My bad lol
