Calc: CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR

This was my first deal after reading through tips on the forum. Walked into my local NJ dealership to give the GLB a test drive and sat with the salesman to see some initial numbers. I believe he quoted around $680/m with $4,300 DAS for a car with slightly higher MSRP of $49,600. I said I’d have to think about it and walked out.

Emailed the guy a day later saying I’d be ready to sign if we could sell to me at $43,500 and he quickly came back saying best he could do is $44,500. The car we were discussing sold, but managed to get the dealer to agree to the same percentage discount on a slightly cheaper car. The sales manager had me on the phone while he was entering the deal into their calculator and he was in shock when the monthly payment spit out. He said he hasn’t seen one this low in a very long time.

I wouldn’t normally want a 48 month lease term, but honestly was happy seeing the savings compared to a 36 month. I’ve got no issue holding this car to term, so the numbers played in my favor!

I’m sure there was some more room to work here, but overall very happy with how things worked out. Let me know your thoughts!

I’m surprised GLBs are close to 50k msrp nowadays. I feel like a few years ago msrp for a gle was around 50k

The ML with Premium 1 was 54k i think back in 2012 or 2011, so been a few years.

It seems they have introduced A and B class to US market to artificially jack up the MSRP on C and E class.
