PSA: a dealer telling you he’ll replicate someone else’s contract is full of shit

He’ll also buy 10 of those cars from the dealer if you can get it at 15% off msrp!

I’ve heard that line a few times before which just indicates it’s time to move on. Next!

Im almost getting frustrated by seeing all these incredible deals that i cant replicate :rofl:

The best offer ive found on anything is a 2023 gt line ev6 for $350/mo nothing das…

I tried replicating deals ive seen for genesis, elantra, ev6 gt, ev6 wind, wrangler 4xe, Cherokee, etc… ive reached out to 11 kia dealers on the east coast and havent found anything close to this lol

At this point…if someone can broker me a deal, i got $300 for ya :rofl::rofl:

If anyone could help with another deal even close to this, i would be very appreciative

What are you offering them?

What do you mean what am i offering? My best “offer” so far is a gt line 2023 for 355/mo with $0 das. Ive been bringing them numbers and proof and asking them to beat it and havent been successful. Especially on the elusive GT itself…i havent seen lower than $400 for that one

Ditto :pray:t2: please

Are you approaching them and making an unambiguous, immediately actionable offer based on a well researched pre-incentive discount and the lease programs as they apply to you?

Are you taking them random numbers you have seen for deals from different zip codes/different situstions and saying “i want this”?

Are you taking them very aggressive offers and telling them you want them to give you an even more aggressive deal?

You wouldnt be the first person thats a VA resident asking a dealer to beat an NJ deal on an ev and be unsure why they kept coming back $2-300/mo higher, for example.

Im in NY. I reached out to 5 dealers with the gt and said, “hi, my niro ev lease is ending in two months and i have test driven the ev6 gt and love it. A friend of mine just walked off the lot with a 23 gt for $300/month after the great incentives kia is offering. I noticed you have a 2023 gt as well. I would love to find a payment that works for me and move forward with one this week. He also gave me permission to send you his contract so you can see how it was broken down.”

I am seeing ppl beat that price left and right now… even if it was $350/mo i would take it. But i havent seen anything under $420 ish.

So not unambiguous, not immediately actionable, and not well researched.

Start by making a target deal for the specific vehicle for your specific circumstance.

Then stop beating around the bush with the dealer.

“I want stock #x. I am willing to offer $x per month with $y due at sale for a 36/10, based on x% sales tax rate for xxxxx zip code, these incentives that i qualify for, and contingent on approved tier 1 credit. If you can do this deal, i can be there in one hour to sign papers and take delivery.”

That seem like a pretty solid offer since you are in NY and it includes sales tax. Is this for 24m/10k?

Please note that my deal does not include sales tax since BEVs are sales tax exempt in NJ which significantly impacts the overall deal. Every $1,000 saved over 24 months reduces the monthly by roughly $41.

a gt line is 4-6k less than the gt…so you still absolutely crushed anything i can find with bang for your buck

Don’t get too caught up comparing deals. Each deal is different and based on it’s own set of circumstances/variables. Determine what you are willing to pay based on your wants/needs. Use other deals as a point of reference/feasibility and work towards your target deal.

Seeing other Leasehackr’s deals motivates me and has definitely contributed to my latest deal. The same could be true for you. Keep working your current best offer or move on the next one. The process requires patience as some deals take longer to materialize than others. Good luck!

NJ dealers tend to be the worst. I was in the market for an Ariya and the best deals were from PA dealers. NJ dealers, even those with large inventories of Ariya’s wouldn’t budge. I never took the deal from the PA dealer because Jeep screwed me on a buy out so I am just running that lease down.

In the meantime, I started looking at the EV9. The EV9 deals looked good so I explored that and sure enough, PA dealers seemed to more willing to move on price than my local NJ dealers. In the past, we’ve been on a string of leases through Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge (three GCs, one Durango) and all but one came from a PA dealer.

Yeah some dealers get a little but hurt.

My local Dealers response….
For a Ev6 GT

Im not sure what you are asking. Pre incentive it is $64,085 and with Incentives it’s $50,177. So you are asking us to discount the car $13k and then give you all the incentives?

It’s probably been on lot since this time last year.
